NOTICE is hereby given by direction of the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries that, pursuant to section 3 of the Wool Testing Authority Act 1964, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Graham Henry Drees (on the nomination of the New Zealand Wool Board)

to be a member of the New Zealand Wool Testing Authority for a term of 3 years from 1 January 1974, vice Mr T. C. Allen.

Appointment of Honorary Deputy Harbourmaster

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport, acting under a delegation authorised by the Minister of Transport, pursuant to section 9 of the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, hereby appoint William Eric Basher to be honorary deputy harbourmaster for Motunau River.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Kairanga Survey District, Manawatu County, for a Limited Access Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the Public Works Act 1928, to take for a limited access road the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used for deviating an existing road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Feilding and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
