A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for a limited access road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of December 1973.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the purpose for which it was acquired.

ALL that piece of land containing 40 square metres situated in Block XI, Port Nicholson Survey District, and being part Lot 144, D.P. 1463; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 27480 (S.O. 28702) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured blue.

Extending the Time Within Which the Commission of Inquiry Into the Meat Industry May Report

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to:
ARNOLD HENRY NORDMEYER, Esquire, of Wellington, Retired Member of Parliament,
ADAM MILLER BEGG, Esquire, of Stirling, Farmer,
FREDERICK REED ALAN HELLABY, Esquire, of Invercargill, Chartered Accountant,
TREVOR PERCIVAL KELLY, Esquire, of Auckland, Union Secretary,
JOHN ARTHUR GILLIES, Esquire, of Invercargill, Chartered Accountant.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the 9th day of April 1973*, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, appointed you the said Arnold Henry Nordmeyer, Adam Miller Begg, Frederick Reed Alan Hellaby, Trevor Percival Kelly, and John Arthur Gillies to be a Commission to inquire into and report on the major factors influencing the efficiency of the production, processing, transport, and local and export marketing of New Zealand meat and its by-products, with particular regard to the attainment of maximum returns to the New Zealand economy, and to recommend steps necessary to obtain such maximum returns in the future, having regard to the social and economic policy of the Government:
And whereas the said Commission was required to report to me in writing not later than the 14th day of December 1973 its findings and opinions on the matters aforesaid together with such recommendations as it might think fit to make in respect thereto:
And whereas it is expedient that the time for so reporting should be extended as hereinafter provided:
Now therefore, pursuant to the Commissions of Inquiry Act 1908, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby extend until the 30th day of April 1974 the time within which the said Commission is so required to report without prejudice to the liberty conferred on it to report its proceedings from time to time if it should judge it expedient to do so:
And I do hereby confirm the said Order in Council and the Commission thereby constituted save as modified by these presents.
Given in Executive Council under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 26th day of November 1973.
