(f) One member elected by the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants and the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Management;
(g) One member appointed by the Taranaki Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Engineers;
(h) The Director-General of Education, or his nominee;
(i) Three members co-opted by the Council itself, if and when it thinks fit.
- (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the members of the Council of the Taranaki Polytechnic shall hold office for a term of 3 years, but may from time to time be re-appointed or re-elected.
(2) Except in the case of a casual vacancy, every member shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the third year after the year of his appointment or election, and if on the 31st day of May the appointment or election of his successor has not been notified to the Council he shall continue to hold office until the date on which that appointment or election is notified.
(3) If any member dies, or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Council or the chairman or the secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Council for 3 consecutive months, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment or election of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed or elected, and the member appointed or elected to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaced.
(4) The powers of the Council shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 14) 1972
PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:
-
(a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 14) 1972.
(b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette. -
Goods of the class specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the class set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.

Revoking a Licence Authorising the Rangiora Borough Council to Erect Electric Lines Within the Borough of Rangiora
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity, with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 17th day of August 1960 and published in the Gazette, on the 18th day of the same month, at p. 1233, authorising the Rangiora Borough Council to erect electric lines within the Borough of Rangiora.

The North Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959, Amendment No. 4
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Electricity hereby amends the North Canterbury Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1959* as amended by the amendments specified in the Schedule hereto by revoking clause (1) of the Schedule thereto and substituting the following:
“1. Lines and works for the transmission and supply of electrical energy within the North Canterbury Electric Power District which is defined in the First Schedule to the Local Legislation Act 1933 and in the Proclamations and Order in Council referred to hereunder:”
