The Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County and Hastings City) Notice No. 2, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County and Hastings City) Notice No. 2, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The Traffic (Hawke’s Bay County and Hastings City) Notice No. 1, 1972, dated the 4th day of May 1972* under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Hawke’s Bay County and Hastings City is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hawke’s Bay County, adjacent to Hastings City:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from Collinge Road to Kenilworth Road).

Coventry Road.

Flaxmere Avenue (from Wilson Road to a point 20 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said avenue from the said road).

Kenilworth Road.

Maraekakaho Road (from Gordon Road to the south-western boundary of Hastings City).

Pakowhai Road (from Lyndhurst Road to Williams Street).

Tomoana Road (from Williams Street to Coventry Road).

Williams Street (from Pakowhai Road to Tomoana Road).

Wilson Road (from Flaxmere Avenue to the north-eastern boundary of Hastings City).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hastings City:

Chatham Road (from a point 1 chain measured south-westerly generally along the said road from Flaxmere Avenue to Portsmouth Road and from a point 11 chains measured north-easterly generally along Chatham Road from Flaxmere Avenue to Omahu Road).

Fernhill Road (from Chatham Road to the north-western boundary of Hastings City).

Omahu Road (from a point 3 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Oak Avenue to Chatham Road).

Portsmouth Road.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hawke’s Bay County, adjacent to Hastings City:

Maraekakaho Road (from Wall Road to Gordon Road).

Pakowhai Road (from Williams Street to a point 21 chains measured north-easterly generally along Pakowhai Road from Evendon Road).

The Traffic (Paeroa Borough) Notice No. 1, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Paeroa Borough) Notice No. 1, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purpose of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The Traffic (Paeroa County) Notice No. 1, 1972, dated the 22nd day of May 1972, made under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulations 27 and 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956* which relates to the Paeroa Borough, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paeroa Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from the north-western boundary of Paeroa Borough to Brenan Street; and from the south-eastern boundary of Paeroa Borough to a point 20 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Russell Street).

No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) (from the northern boundary of Paeroa Borough to Station Road).

Taylors Avenue (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 4 chains measured southerly generally along the said avenue from Bush Street).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paeroa Borough:

No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) (from the northern boundary of Paeroa Borough to Station Road).

Taylors Avenue (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 4 chains measured southerly generally along the said avenue from Bush Street).

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Paeroa Borough:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from the northern-western boundary of Paeroa to Brenan Street).

Dated at Wellington this 30th day of October 1972.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimate West County) Notice No. 2, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waimate West County at Kapuni:

Manaiā Road (from a point 8 chains measured southerly generally along the said road from Skeet Road to a point 5 chains measured northerly generally along Manaiā Road from the Te Roti - Opunaki Railway line).

Skeet Road (from the western bank of the Kaupokonui Stream to a point 9 chains measured easterly generally along the said road from Manaiā Road.
