The Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 2, 1972


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 2 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The Traffic (Piako County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 19th day of November 1971† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to Waihou in the Piako County, is hereby revoked.

No. 26 State Highway (Hamilton-Kopu) (from Campbell Street to a point 4 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from McCarthy Street).
First Avenue.
Fourth Street (from First Avenue to Second Avenue).
Goodfellow Road (from a point 4 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Second Avenue to First Avenue).

McCarthy Street.
Ngutumanga Road (from Campbell Street to Factory Road).

The Traffic (Gisborne City) Notice No. 1, 1972


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited on the Traffic (Gisborne City) Notice No. 1, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 20th day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter each year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30-miles-an-hour fixed by the said section.

  5. The Traffic (Gisborne City) Notice No. 1, 1972 dated the 12th day of August 1969* under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Gisborne City, is hereby revoked.

  6. So much of the Traffic (Gisborne City) Notice dated 13 September 1971† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 which relates to Centennial Marine Drive at Waikanae Beach is hereby revoked.


FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Gisborne City:

No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa) (from the western boundary of Gisborne City to a point 10 chains measured westerly generally along the said State Highway from Taruheru Road and from Tyndall Road to the south-eastern boundary of Gisborne City).

Nelson Road (from the western boundary of Gisborne City to a point 24 chains measured westerly generally along the said road from Lytton Road).


SECOND SCHEDULE

No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa) (from Tyndall Road to the south-eastern boundary of Gisborne City).

Awapuni Road (from Stanley Road to a point 5 chains measured westerly generally along Awapuni Road from Lytton Road).
