BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

THAT for the purpose of providing annual charges on loans totalling $118,000, as scheduled hereunder, authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the Counties Act 1956, and amendments, for the purposes specified in the Schedule, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes the special rates in the dollar as set out in the said Schedule upon the rateable value; on the basis of unimproved value; of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands and that the said special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of the loans concerned and be payable yearly on the 20th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years or until the loans are fully paid off.

SCHEDULE

1. Kawakawa-Moerewa Water Supply Loan No. 2, 1971—$75,000, for the purpose of providing additional capacity for the Kawakawa-Moerewa bulk water supply scheme; special rate of decimal nought five (.05) cents.

2. Paihia Water Supply Extension Loan 1971—$43,000, for the purpose of extending the reticulation of the Paihia water supply scheme to built-up areas adjacent to Paihia; special rate of decimal nought two nine (.029) cents.

THAT for the purpose of providing annual charges on loans totalling $37,000, as scheduled hereunder, authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the Counties Act 1956, and amendments, for the purposes specified in the Schedule, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes the special rates in the dollar as set out in the said Schedule upon the rateable value; on the basis of unimproved value; of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands, and that the said special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of the loans concerned, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loans are fully paid off.

1. Kerikeri Pensioner Housing Loan 1970—$7,130, for the purpose of erecting accommodation for the elderly; special rate of decimal nought nought four (.004) cents.

2. Kerikeri Pensioner Housing Loan No. 2, 1971—$1,870, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Kerikeri Pensioner Housing Loan 1970—$7,130 was sanctioned; special rate of decimal nought nought one (.001) cents.

3. Staff Housing Loan 1971—$14,000, for the purpose of financing construction of a staff dwelling; special rate of decimal nought one (.01) cents.

4. No. 2 Staff Housing 1971—$14,000, for the purpose of providing staff housing or making advances to employees for housing purposes; special rate of decimal nought one (.01) cents.

THAT for the purpose of providing annual charges on loans totalling $71,600, as scheduled hereunder, authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands County Council under the Counties Act 1956, and amendments, for the purposes specified in the Schedule, the said Bay of Islands County Council hereby makes the special rates in the dollar as set out in the said Schedule upon the rateable value; on the basis of unimproved value; of all the rateable property in the whole of the County of Bay of Islands, and that the said special rates shall be annually recurring rates during the currency of the loans concerned, and be payable yearly on the 20th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loans are fully paid off.

1. Simson Park Hall Supplementary Loan 1971—$1,600, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Simson Park Hall Loan 1970, of $16,000, was sanctioned; special rate of decimal nought nought one six (.0016) cents.

2. Moerewa County Town Roading Loan 1970—$70,000, for the purpose of financing road reconstruction and seal in Moerewa County Town; special rate of decimal nought six seven (.067) cents.

PORIRUA CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan 1971—$55,300

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Porirua City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purposes of providing for the annual charges on a loan of $55,300 authorised to be raised by the Porirua City Council under the above-mentioned Act for Redemption Loan 1971, the said Porirua City Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0918c in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the whole of the City of Porirua; and that special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan; and be payable on the 14th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
