The Capital Issues Consent Notice 1972, No. 2

PURSUANT to the Capital Issues (Overseas) Regulations 1965, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

Title—This notice may be cited as the Capital Issues Consent Notice 1972, No. 2.
Consent to borrowing or raising of money in New Zealand by certain companies—Consent is hereby granted to the exercise by any company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1955 that is an overseas person within the meaning of paragraph (c) of regulation 3A (2) of the Capital Issues (Overseas) Regulations 1965*, but which would not be an overseas person if the shares held in the company by any of the companies or insurance offices mentioned in the Schedule hereto were held by persons who are not overseas persons of the following powers, namely:

(a) The power to borrow money in New Zealand;
(b) The power to raise money in New Zealand by the issue, whether in New Zealand or elsewhere, of any shares in the company;
(c) The power to make any call in respect of any shares issued by the company to a person ordinarily resident in New Zealand.

Revocation—The notice consenting to the issue of capital by certain companies, dated the 18th day of August 1972†, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

The Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice No. 1, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice No. 1, 1972.
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
The Traffic (Waitaki County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated the 23rd day of March 1970 under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Waitaki County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waitaki County:

Adjacent to Oamaru Borough:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the western boundary of Oamaru Borough to a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from the Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road).

At Weston:

Airedale Road (from the Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road to a point 15 chains measured northerly generally along Airedale Road from Charles Street).

Argyle Street (from the Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road to Essex Street).

Ascot Road.

Baker Street.

Charles Street (from the Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road to Homestead Road).

Gordon Street (from Charles Street to a point 15 chains measured southerly generally along Gordon Street from Argyle Street).

Meek Street.

Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road (from White Rocks Road to Airedale Road and to a point 12 chains measured westerly generally along the Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road from Airedale Road).

Oamaru-Ngapara-Tokarahi Road (from a point 2 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to White Rocks Road).
