Declaring Land Acquired for a Local Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, the Right Honourable Sir Herbert Richard Churton Wild, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948.

Amending Declaration of Land in the Southland Acclimatisation District to be a Wildlife Refuge

DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as follows:

  1. (i) This Proclamation may be cited as the Winton Hundred Wildlife Refuge Declaration;

(ii) This Proclamation shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The Proclamation made on the 15th day of May 1962*, declaring the area described in the First Schedule hereto to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of the Wildlife Act 1953, is hereby revoked.

  2. The area described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a wildlife refuge for the purposes of section 14 of the Wildlife Act 1953.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND Land District, Sections 13 and 18, Block VII, Winton Hundred: area, 184 acres 1 rood 8 perches, more or less. Part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 95, folio 26. As shown in the plan marked I.A. 52/525 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND COUNTY

SECTION 13, Block VII, Winton Hundred: area, 93 acres 1 rood and 8 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 95, folio 26. (S.O. Plan 427.)

As shown on a plan marked I.A. Wil. 34/17/22 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 4th day of October 1972.
