Appointment of the Auckland Kindergarten Association Incorporated to Control and Manage a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Auckland Kindergarten Association Incorporated, to control and manage the reserve described in the Schedule hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act, as a reserve for education (pre-school) purposes.

Revocation of the Appointment of the Croisilles - French Pass - D'Urville Island Reserves Board

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Croisilles - French Pass - D'Urville Island Reserves Board to control the reserves as published in Gazette 1970, No. 49, p. 1420, as from 30 September 1972.

Appointment of Members of the Kaiapoi Reserve Board

In the matter of section 66 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931:

Pursuant to the said section 66, I hereby appoint Mr Taituha Hape Karaitiana, to replace W. M. Taitua, junior (deceased); and Mrs Rima Bell, to replace W. A. Pitama (deceased) to be members of the Kaiapoi Reserve Board.

Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Napier Appointed

Pursuant to the Waterfront Industry Act 1953, the Minister of Labour hereby appoints the following persons to be the Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Napier for the term of 1 year expiring on the 30th day of April 1973.

Everton Morrison Hobin, Chairman; and George Stuart Laird, J.P., Deputy Chairman; and Bryan Sheridan Brinsley, John Fenwick, and Victor Brian Heath (nominated by the New Zealand Port Employers' Association Incorporated); and Newell de Val Lawrence (nominated by the Napier Harbour Board); and Michael James Clare, George Edward Howell, James Richard Joyce, and Norman William Rowe (nominated by the Napier Waterfront Workers' Industrial Union of Workers).

Alteration to the Scale of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government Railways— Amendment No. 5

GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES

Pursuant to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby makes the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges, published in the Supplement dated the 13th day of September 1971 to the New Zealand Gazette of the 9th day of September 1971, and hereby declares that such alterations shall come into force on the 6th day of November 1972.

PASSSENGERS

  1. Family Excursion Tickets

Paragraph 1—Insert new paragraph (c):

(c) Family tickets for return travel at five times the special fares for Endeavour (section 28A) may be issued to parents and their children travelling together by the Endeavour.

  1. Miscellaneous Concession Fares

Paragraph 1: General—Omit subparagraph (a) and insert new subparagraph (a):

(a) Subject to the conditions specified hereafter, tickets may be issued at the special excursion fares specified in section 6, or as otherwise provided in this section. Fares issued under the provisions of section 6 will not, however, be available for travel on Southerner express services on the South Island main trunk route or on Endeavour express services between Wellington and Napier. Fares as specified in section 27 or 28A less 10 percent will be granted to approved organisations for travel on these services. Such tickets will have the same availability (both as to period of time and break of journey) as ordinary tickets (section 2). The department reserves the right to decline any application for tickets under the provisions of this section.

  1. Railway Employees' Privilege Tickets

Omit paragraph 1 and insert new paragraph 1:

  1. Privilege Single or Return Journey Tickets—Privilege tickets at one-fourth the ordinary fares (section 2), fares as specified in section 27 or 28A, or local fares (section 32), where applicable, may be issued to railway employees and their wives and children in terms of the regulations made pursuant to the Government Railways Act 1949 and orders of the Government Railways Industrial Tribunal. Children 4 years of age and over will be charged the adult privilege fare.

For the purpose of this section an ordinary return fare will be deemed to be the value of two single fares (section 2).
