PURSUANT to section 175 (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Leonard Trevor Hirst to reclaim from the sea at Orongo Bay an area of 8 perches, more or less, of Crown land as shown on plan M.D. 14450 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
THE Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board Election Order 1969, published in the Gazette, 1969, Vol. III, p. 2203, is hereby amended by revoking subclause (5) of clause 6, and substituting the following subclause:
"(5) Within 14 days of the receipt of the list each Mayor or, as the case may be, Chairman of a local authority shall cause a meeting of his council to be held for the purpose of allocating the prescribed number of votes to which that local authority is entitled in respect of the candidates on the list. At the meeting the local authority shall, by resolution, allocate its prescribed number of votes in respect of each of 2 of the candidates where 2 candidates are required to be elected or in respect of 1 of the candidates where only 1 is required."
