State Forest Park Set Apart as a Forest Sanctuary

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to section 20 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Sir Arthur
Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby set apart the area of State Forest Park described in
the Schedule hereto as a forest sanctuary to preserve represen-
tative examples of the Coromandel kauri forests.

COROMANDEL COUNTY—MANAIA FOREST SANCTUARY
PART Kakatarahae 1 Block, and parts Mahakirau Block, Blocks
III and IV, Hastings Survey District: area, 1,190 acres, more or
less (S.O. Plan 46674).
As shown on plan N. 44/14 deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie
Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand,
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
28th day of August 1972.
