Appointment of an Examiner Under the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Marine under the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952,

William Michael Evans

has been appointed an examiner for the purposes of granting—

(a) Certificates of competency as A.B.; and
(b) Certificates of competency as qualified fishing deckhand, in terms of sections 50 and 50A of the said Act, with effect from the date hereof.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Hutt County Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used or applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.
