✨ Noxious Weeds and Elections




Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture
under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the
purposes of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following
Special Order, made by the Lake County Council on the 8th
day of February 1972, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

"Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Common Broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Nassella Tussock (Nassella trichotoma).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Nodding Thistle (Carduus nutans).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).

I hereby certify that the above plants have been declared as
noxious weeds within the Lake County pursuant to the pro-
visions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950."

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed Under the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950 in the City of Rotorua (No. 322 Ag. 20649A)

Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture
under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953, for the pur-
pos es of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following special
order made by the Rotorua City Council on 20 March 1972,
is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

"In pursuance to and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Municipal
Corporation Act 1954, and all amendments thereto, and all
and each of every other power and authority thereunto in
that behalf enabling it, the Rotorua City Council, acting on
behalf of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City
of Rotorua, doth hereby resolve so that this resolution may be
confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate
as a special order, that Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans) be
declared a noxious weed within the City of Rotorua."

Producers' Representatives on Otago Raspberry Marketing
Committee in Southern Ward (Notice No. 323 Ag. 60766)

Pursuant to clause 34 of the Schedule to the Otago Raspberry
Marketing Regulations 1950, notice is hereby given that, three
persons having been duly nominated in the Southern Ward for
election to the office of Producers' Representative on the Otago
Raspberry Marketing Committee, and a poll taken, I do
declare

James Thomas Breen, and
Kenneth Edward McArthur

being the persons so nominated, to be duly elected as pro-
ducers' representatives in respect of the Southern Ward.

producers' representatives.

Pacific Hotel, Waiwera

Pursuant to section 221A (16) of the Sale of Liquor Act
1962, as inserted by section 3 of the Sale of Liquor Amend-
ment Act (No. 2) 1967, I, Eric Alderson Missen, Secretary
for Justice, hereby give notice that the Auckland Licensing
Committee on 26 June 1972 made an order that the following
hours be fixed for the opening and closing of the South
Pacific Hotel, Waiwera, for the sale of liquor to the public:

Opening 11 a.m., Monday to Saturday (inclusive).
Closing 10 p.m., Monday to Saturday (inclusive).
