WHEREAS by a declaration dated the 21st day of April 1972, and published in Gazette, 27 April 1972, Volume I, at page 924, all that piece of land containing 2 acres and 26.2 perches being part Lot 2, D.P. 2563, being part Section 166, Omaka Registration District, situated in Block XIV, Cloudy Bay Survey District, Marlborough R.D., and coloured orange on plan M.O.W. 26151 (S.O. 5006) was taken for buildings of the General Government (RNZAF residential accommodation):

And whereas the Public Trustee as executor and trustee of the estate of Stanley Richardson Jackson, late of Blenheim in New Zealand, farmer, deceased, aforesaid, was entitled to compensation in respect of his interest in the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Public Trustee aforesaid, a right of way over an area of 3 roods being part Lot 2, D.P. 2563, being part Section 166, Omaka Registration District, situated in Block XIV, Cloudy Bay Survey District, Marlborough R.D., coloured blue on plan M.O.W. 26151 (S.O. 5006), being part of the land comprised in declaration No. 67365, Marlborough Registry, held for buildings of the General Government (RNZAF residential accommodation), as part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Public Trustee has agreed to accept such grant of right of way in part satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now therefore the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Whakatane Survey District, Whakatane County, for Soil Conservation and River Control Purposes (Whakatane River Control—Situated at End of Board Mills Road)

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of the Whakatane River Scheme, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Whakatane and is there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and send the written objection within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
