Revoking Order in Council Prohibiting Alienations of Land
Other than to the Crown

At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 254 (2) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
revokes the Order in Council dated 12 May 1954 and
published in Gazette, 20 May 1954, No. 31, p. 868, prohibiting
all alienations of the Maori lands specified in the Schedule
hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Adding Land to the Fiordland National Park

May 1972

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares
that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from
the date hereof, be added to and form part of Fiordland
National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with by the Fiordland National Park Board in
accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT

SECTIONS 31 and 34 (former description, part State Forest),
Block XII, Hauroko Survey District: area, 69 acres 2 roods
34.5 perches, more or less (S.O. Plan 8108).

Sections 33 and 35 (formerly parts closed road) and
Section 32 (formerly part closed road and part Section 12),
Block XII, Hauroko Survey District: area, 5 acres and 21.9
perches, more or less (S.O. Plan 8108).

Also Sections 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, and 44 (formerly
parts closed road), Block XII, and Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11,
and 12 (formerly parts closed road), Block XI, Hauroko

Approving the Term of a Licence Granted to Colyer Watson
and Company Limited for a Tramway Across Cambridge
Street in the Borough of Levin

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Tramways Act 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the term of the
licence granted for a period of 21 years from the 1st day of
October 1971, by the Levin Borough Council to Colyer Watson
and Company Limited, a duly incorporated company having its
registered office at Wellington, which licence authorises the said
company to maintain a private tramway on and across Cam-
bridge Street in the Borough of Levin, the position of such
tramway being more particularly shown on the plan marked
M.O.W. 26209 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works
at Wellington.

Exempting Certain Maori Land from Rates

PURSUANT to section 149 of the Rating Act 1967, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby exempts
the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto
from the liability for the payment of rates.

ALL that piece of land situated in Block XI, Horohoro
Survey District, and described as follows:

THE RIGHT HON. J. R. MARSHALL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, His Excel-
lency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council, the operation of that
part of a railway known as the South Westland New Zealand
Railways Goods Road Service having ceased, doth hereby sell
the same to Arnold & Sons Motors Limited, being a company
willing to take and work the same, and in like manner doth
sell to the said company other property of the Crown held in
respect of that goods service, including land described in the
Schedule hereto.
