The Traffic (Putaruru Borough and Matamata County) Notice
No. 1, 1972

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Putaruru Borough and Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1972.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  4. The Traffic (Putaruru Borough) Notice No. 1, 1963, dated the 12th day of September 1963†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to Putaruru Borough and Matamata County, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Putaruru Borough and Matamata County adjacent to Putaruru Borough:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from the south-eastern boundary of Putaruru Borough to a point 4 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Market Street).

Arapuni Street (from Golf Street to the south-western boundary of Putaruru Borough).

Princes Street (from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 12 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said street from Arapuni Street).

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Putaruru Borough and Matamata County adjacent to Putaruru Borough:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 1 chain measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from the south-eastern end of the bridge over the Morrinsville-Rotorua Railway to a point 4 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said State highway from Market Street).

Princes Street (from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 12 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said street from Arapuni Street).

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
