PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secre-
tary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the
Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby

as Quarantine Ground for Detention of Imported Animals

PURSUANT to section 11 of the Animals Act 1967, the Director-
General of Agriculture hereby sets apart and defines land
specified in the Schedule hereto as a quarantine ground for the
detention of imported animals.

SCHEDULE

ALL that piece of land containing 2 roods and 32.9 perches,
being part Section 8, Harbour District, and part closed road
situated at Ngauranga, City of Wellington, in Block XII,
Belmont Survey District, being part certificate of title, Volume
374, folio 30, Wellington Land Registry; as the same is more
particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 28422 lodged in the
office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and thereon
coloured orange.

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed Under the Noxious Weeds Act
1950 in the County of Tauranga (No. 159 Ag. 20649A)

PURSUANT to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture,
under the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes
of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following Special Order,
made by the Tauranga County Council on the 1st day of
November 1971, is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER

"THAT the Tauranga County Council by Special Order,
pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds
Act 1950, declares the following plant to be a noxious weed
and to be added to the schedule of plants declared noxious
weeds within the County of Tauranga:

Welted Thistle (Carduus crispus)".

Acquisition of Land as Bryant Memorial Scenic Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is
hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto,
together with an appurtenant right of way and subject to a
water easement created by transfer S. 520964 (South Auckland
Registry), has been acquired as a reserve for scenic purposes,
subject to the provisions of Part IV of the said Act, to be
known as the Bryant Memorial Scenic Reserve. This notice is
issued in substitution for the notice dated 7 September 1971 and
published in Gazette, 16 September 1971, page 1931, and that
notice is hereby cancelled.
