Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 27) 1971

PURSUANT to regulation 16 of the Import Control Regulations 1964*, the Minister of Customs hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 27) 1971.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the classes specified in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemption from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, is hereby withdrawn.

Boundaries of Mount Wellington Borough Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954,
the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines as set out in
the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Mount
Wellington, the boundaries having previously been altered by
Order in Council made on 3 August 1971, published in
Gazette, 5 August 1971, No. 58, page 1538.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District containing
4,077 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at
the southernmost corner of part Lot 985, D.P. 39859 (recreation
reserve, Gazette, 1953, page 1987), on the line of mean high
water of the left bank of the Tamaki River in Block II,
Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally
along that left bank to and along the eastern boundaries of
Allotment 316, District of Tamaki, and Allotment 79, Section
3, Village of Panmure, and continuing along the line of mean
high water of the left bank of the Tamaki River, crossing the
entrance to the Panmure Basin, to and along the left bank of
the Otahuhu Creek to the northern side of Portage Road;
thence westerly along that roadside and its production across
the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the line of mean
high water spring tide of the shores of the Manukau Harbour
in Block VI, Otahuhu Survey District; thence northerly along
the said shores and the left bank of St. Ann’s Creek to the
south-western side of Great South Road; thence north-westerly
along that roadside as originally defined to a point in line with
the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 20282; thence north-
westerly along a right line across the aforesaid Great South
Road to the south-western corner of Section 169, Prescott
Settlement in Block I, Otahuhu Survey District; thence easterly
along the northern side of Great South Road to and north-
easterly along the north-western side of Penrose Road to and
northerly along the western boundary of Section 211, along a
right line passing through Allotment 212 and crossing Prescott
Street to and along the eastern boundaries of Sections 219, 218,
and 207, all the aforesaid sections being of Prescott Settlement,
along a right line across the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway to
and along the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 48654, along
a right line across Gavin Street to and along the eastern boun-
daries of Allotment 138, Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, part
Section 204, Prescott Settlement, and part Allotment 17,
Section 12, aforesaid (waterpower purposes, Gazette, 1928,
page 2956), to and north-westerly along the north-eastern
boundaries of the said part Allotment 17, along a right line
across Gavin Street to and again along the north-eastern
boundary of the aforesaid allotment to the westernmost corner
of Lot 6, D.P. 41128 (waterpower purposes, Gazette, 1953, page
1435); thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary
of the said lot, along a right line across Gavin Street to and
along the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 41128, along
a right line passing through Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 44752, to and
along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 13, 12, 5, and 4,
D.P. 34525, Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 44247, Lots 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10,
D.P. 30443, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned
lot; thence north-westerly along a right line across the Ellerslie-
Panmure Highway to the junction of the northern side of that
highway and the north-western side of Ballarat Street; thence
north-easterly generally along the generally north-western side
of the said street to the easternmost corner of Lot 1 of Section
1, Deeds Plan S. 28; thence south-easterly along the production
of the north-eastern boundary of that lot to the middle of the
aforesaid street and again north-easterly generally along the
middle of the said street, Whitley Avenue and College Road to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of part Allot-
ment 49, District of Tamaki, as shown on D.P. 22247; thence
south-easterly along a right line to and along the said boundary
and the south-eastern boundaries of part Lot 1, D.P. 31698,
Lot 2, D.P. 35100, and part Allotment 50, District of Tamaki,
as shown on D.P. 22247, to and north-easterly along the north-
western boundaries of part Allotment 56, Section 12, Suburbs
of Auckland (Mount Wellington Domain, Gazette, 1931, page
374), and another part Allotment 56, aforesaid, passing through
Lot 1, D.P. 20235, to the northernmost corner of that allot-
ment; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point in
line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 57, Section 12,
Suburbs of Auckland (compost plant, Gazette, 1961, page
1979), 828 links distant from the southernmost corner of that
allotment; thence north-easterly along a right line to and along
the said boundary to the western side of Ngahue Road; thence
along a right line across the said road to and easterly along the
southern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 29848, and Lot 1, D.P.
20163, along a right line across the Auckland-Westfield Loop
Line, to and along the southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P.
32031, part Lot 2, D.P. 20163 (railway purposes, Gazette, 1953,
page 765), Lots 10 and 9, D.P. 32360 (railway purposes,
Gazette, 1953, page 765), Lot 8, D.P. 32360, and Lot 11, D.P.
32360 (public street, transfer 385260), to the southernmost
corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence north-easterly along
a right line across Pilkington Road to the north-western
corner of Lot 36, D.P. 44905 (recreation reserve, Gazette, 1958,
page 387), and easterly generally along the generally northern
boundaries of the said lot (part of which now forms the
generally northern boundaries of Lots 7 and 8, D.P. 60251),
along a right line across Tripoli Road to and along the
generally northern boundary of Lot 529, D.P. 44905 (recreation
reserve, Gazette, 1958, page 387), and the last boundary pro-
duced to the eastern side of Dunkirk Road; thence southerly
