the eastern boundary of Paparua County).

The Traffic (Waimairi County) Notice No. 2, 1971

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimairi County)
    Notice No. 2, 1971.

  2. The area specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes
    of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes
    of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby
    declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the
    purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  5. The notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962
    and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the
    18th day of July 1968† which relates to Waimairi County,
    is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waimairi County:

All the roads, except No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff)
within the area adjacent to Christchurch City and Riccarton
Borough, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection
of the western boundary of Christchurch City with the south-
western boundary of Waimairi County and proceeding
northerly and north-westerly generally along the boundary of
Waimairi County to a point in line with the north-western
side of Racecourse Road; thence north-easterly generally on
the projection of that north-western side across State Highway
No. 73 to the north-eastern side of that State Highway; thence
north-westerly generally along that roadside across Withells
Road, Cutts Road, and Fovant Street to the south-eastern
side of Russley Road; thence north-easterly generally along
that roadside across Dinton Street and Bentley Street to a
point 15 chains measured north-easterly generally along the
said roadside from State Highway No. 73; thence by a right
line to a point on the south-westerly side of Avonhead Road
2 chains measured north-westerly generally along that roadside
from Hawthornden Road; thence north-easterly generally
across Avonhead Road at right angles to its south-western
side to its north-eastern side; thence south-easterly generally
along that roadside to the north-western side of Roydvale
Avenue; thence north-easterly generally along that roadside
to the south-western side of Memorial Avenue; thence south-
easterly generally along that roadside across Roydvale Avenue
to a point 1 chain measured north-westerly generally along
the said roadside from Grahams Road; thence north-easterly
generally across Memorial Avenue at right angles to its south-
western side to its north-eastern side; thence north-westerly
generally along that roadside across Kendall Avenue and Royd-
vale Avenue to the north-western side of Roydvale Avenue;
thence north-easterly and northerly generally to the southern
side of Wairakei Road; thence westerly generally along that
roadside to a point 5 chains measured westerly generally along
that said roadside from Roydvale Avenue; thence northerly
generally across Wairakei Road at right angles to its southern
side to its northern side; thence easterly generally along that
roadside across Wooldridge Road to the eastern side of Woold-
ridge Road; thence north-easterly generally by a right line to
a point on the south-western side of Harewood Road 6 chains
measured north-westerly generally along that roadside from
Crofton Road; thence north-easterly generally across Hare-
wood Road at right angles to its south-western side to its
north-eastern side; thence south-easterly generally along that
roadside to the north-western side of Crofton Road; thence
north-easterly generally along that roadside to the south-
western side of Sawyers Arms Road; thence south-easterly
generally along that roadside across Crofton Road to the
north-western side of Gardeners Road; thence north-easterly
generally across Sawyers Arms Road at right angles to its
south-western side to its north-eastern side; thence south-

along that roadside to a point in line with the northern side
of Barnes Road; thence easterly generally across Cavendish
Road at right angles to its western side to its eastern side;
thence north-easterly generally by a right line to the inter-
section of the western side of the Main North Road and the
northern side of Styx Mill Road; thence easterly generally
along the production of that roadside across the Main North
Road to the northern side of Cunliffe Road; thence easterly
generally along that roadside across the Addington-Picton
railway line to the northern side of Farquhars Road; thence
easterly generally along that roadside to the western side of
Grimseys Road; thence easterly generally across Grimseys
Road at right angles from its western side to its eastern side;
thence southerly generally along that roadside across Prestons
Road to the northern side of Winters Road; thence easterly
generally along that roadside to a point in line with the eastern
side of Philpotts Road; thence southerly generally along the
production of that eastern side to the southern side of Winters
Road; thence easterly generally along that roadside to the
western side of Hills Road; thence northerly generally along
that roadside across Winters Road to a point 3 chains measured
westerly generally along that roadside from Walters Road;
thence north-easterly generally across Hills Road at right
