Road) Loan 1970, $50,500, were sanctioned, the said Christ-
church City Council hereby makes and levies special rates of
$.00000525 (decimal nought nought nought nought nought five
two five), $.00000145 (decimal nought nought nought nought nought
nought one four five), $.00000135 (decimal nought nought
nought nought nought one three five), $.00000061
(decimal nought nought nought nought nought nought six
one), $.0000016 (decimal nought nought nought nought nought
one six), and $.00000196 (decimal nought nought nought
nought nought one nine six) in the dollar respectively, on the
rateable value, on the basis of the unimproved value of all
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch;
and that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates pay-
able on demand during the currency of the loans, being terms
of thirty (30) years in each case, or until the loans are fully
paid off.”
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
27th day of September 1971, passed the above resolution.

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Roading Loan 1970, $300,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Henderson Borough Council held on the 16th day of Novem-
ber 1971:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
the loan of $300,000, authorised to be raised by the Henderson
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of improving the roads in the Borough, the said
Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of
0.362c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all
rateable property in the Borough of Henderson, and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
June in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off,
and that such special rate is hereby permanently appropriated
and pledged as security for the purpose of securing the said
loan of $300,000 and interest thereon at a rate not exceeding
six percent (6%) per annum.”

WAIMEA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan No. 15, 1971, $300,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimea
Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $300,000, known as Reticulation Loan No. 15, 1971,
authorised to be raised by the Waimea Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing
electrical works and line extensions, the said Waimea Electric
Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought
two two of a cent (.022c) in the dollar on the capital value of
all rateable property in the Waimea Electric Power Board’s
district, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable
yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Waimea Electric Power Board on
17 November 1971.

WAITOMO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Taharoa Development Loan No. 2, 1971, $100,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Waitomo Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges
on a loan of $100,000, authorised to be raised by the
Waitomo Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of providing extensions and additions to
the Board’s existing reticulation system, the said Waitomo
Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of seventy-
six thousandths of a cent (0.076c) in the dollar ($) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Waitomo Electric Power district, and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of March in each and every year during the currency of the
loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid
off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan 1971
EXTRACT from the minutes of proceedings of the Central
Canterbury Electric Power Board at a meeting of such Board
held on 16 November 1971:
Moved by Mr Carter:
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Central
Canterbury Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $35,000 to be known as Redemption Loan 1971,
authorised to be raised by the Central Canterbury Electric
Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of repaying on maturity that portion of the No. 15 Reticula-
tion Loan raised by the Springs-Ellesmere Electric Power Board
which matures on 15 December 1971, the said Central Canter-
bury Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one
three-hundred-and-twentieth of a cent (1/320c) in the dollar
upon the value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rate-
able property of the Central Canterbury Electric Power District
comprising the whole of the counties of Ellesmere, Akaroa,
Wairewa, Mount Herbert, and Malvern, part of the Borough
of Lyttelton, and parts of the Counties of Paparua and Heath-
cote, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly
on the 15th day of December in each year and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
Seconded by Mr Griffith and carried.
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and a
correct extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Central
Canterbury Electric Power Board at the meeting written above.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Grattan Street Housing Development Loan No. 2, 1971,
$450,000
Resolution Passed at a Meeting of the Auckland City Council
Held on the 10th Day of November 1971
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and
amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amend-
ment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers there-
unto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves
as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of four hundred and fifty thousand dollars
($450,000) to be known as the Grattan Street Housing
Development Loan No. 2, 1971, $450,000, which amount is
proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the
above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of redeveloping the
Grattan Street Block, Stage 2, in the Freeman’s Bay reclama-
tion area, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of point nought six three nought of a
cent (.0630c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the
basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auck-
land City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland,
and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly
on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the cur-
rency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
