MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR THE MOUNT ALBERT ROADING REDEMPTION LOAN 1971, $20,500, PASSED BY THE MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL AT A MEETING HELD ON 9 NOVEMBER 1971

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of $20,500, known as the Roading Redemption Loan 1971, $20,500, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Roading Loan 1960, $200,000, which matures on 27 November 1971, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought nought three nine of a cent (.0039c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert this 16th day of November 1971.

NORTH CANTERBURY LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA
Provisional Area Scheme

THE Local Government Commission has prepared a Provisional Area Scheme for the North Canterbury Local Government Area. This area and the districts of the new local authorities prescribed by the Commission are more specifically described in Schedules “A” and “B” of the Provisional Area Scheme, copies of which have been deposited and are available for inspection at this office and the offices of the following territorial local authorities:

Oxford County Council
Rangiora Borough Council.
Rangiora County Council.
Ashley County Council.
Waipara County Council.
Amuri County Council.
Cheviot County Council.
Christchurch City Council.
Mount Herbert County Council.
Riccarton Borough Council.
Paparua County Council.
Waimairi County Council.
Kaiapoi Borough Council.
Eyre County Council.
Heathcote County Council.
Lyttelton Borough Council.
Akaroa County Council.
Wairewa County Council.
Ellesmere County Council.
Malvern County Council.

Pursuant to section 18 of the Local Government Commission Act 1967, written objections to the Provisional Area Scheme stating the grounds thereof may be lodged with the Commission by any person or body interested not later than 4 months after the first public notification of the scheme. Should no objections be lodged during that period, the Local Government Commission may approve the Provisional Area Scheme as a Final Area Scheme.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of $18 per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

Single copies available as issued.

The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

NEW ZEALAND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS

These are not now available from Government Bookshops but may be obtained from the New Zealand Standards Association, Private Bag, Wellington.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, $5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
