proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the Heretaunga
Plains Flood Control Scheme, Poukawa Diversion, and for the
purpose of, or in connection with such public work, the land
described in the First and Second Schedules hereto is required
to be taken. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the land
so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Hawke’s
Bay Catchment Board situate at Vautier Street, Napier, and is
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said

MANUKAU CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Loan 1971, $200,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Manukau City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $200,000, authorised to be raised by the Manukau
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose
of constructing roads, footpaths, associated works, and cost of
raising the loan within the City of Manukau, the said Manukau
City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought
two two cents (.022c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable
unimproved value of all rateable property of the City of
Manukau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.”

hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a
meeting of the Manukau City Council held on the 28th day of
