PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Omnibus Purchase Loan 1971, $50,500

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments, and all other powers in that behalf thereunto enabling it, the Palmerston North City Council doth hereby resolve as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty thousand five hundred dollars ($50,500), authorised to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council, under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the purchase of new omnibuses, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes a special rate of one hundred and seventy-eight ten-thousandths of a cent (0.0178c) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, being a period of six (6) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Palmerston North City Council on the 26th day of October 1971.

PAPARUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Paparua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of $155,000, authorised to be raised by the Paparua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction of a sewerage system in the Halswell County Town, the said Paparua County Council makes a special rate of 0.1943c in the dollar upon the rateable value of all the rateable properties within the Halswell County Town, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

MURUPARA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioner Flats Loan, 1971, $6,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Murupara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of six thousand dollars ($6,000) to be known as Pensioner Flats Loan 1971, $6,000, authorised to be raised by the Murupara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for elderly people, the said Murupara Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.00865c in the dollar upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Murupara, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HENDERSON BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waterworks Loan, 1970, $101,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Henderson Borough Council held on the 19th day of October 1971:

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Henderson Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the loan of $101,000, authorised to be raised by the Henderson Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of improving the Borough’s water reticulation system, the said Henderson Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.148c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Henderson, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that such special rate is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged as security for the purpose of securing the said loan of $101,000 and interest thereon at a rate not exceeding 6 percent (6%) per annum.”

MINING ACT 1926
NOTICE OF CERTIFICATE OF PROTECTION

IN the matter of section 164 of the Mining Act 1926, and in the matter of regulation 66, Mining Regulations 1926, Reprint 1968/28; and in the matter of an application by Kawarau Goldmining Co. Ltd., a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Alexandra, for certificate of protection in respect of water race licence No. 10284, in the Warden’s Court at Cromwell.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a sitting of the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, on the 5th day of October 1971, on summary application by the said Kawarau Goldmining Co. Ltd., the Warden, Mr J. D. Murray, S.M., prescribed that a certificate of protection should apply to water race licence No. 10284 between the 1st day of June and the 31st day of August (inclusive) in each year, such protection to be notified by a publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
