RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1970, $70,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of paying the annual charges on a loan of $70,000 being the Sewerage Loan 1970 of $70,000, authorised to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above Act for the purpose of extending the sewerage reticulation system of the Borough, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one eight seven cents (.187c) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the borough of Rangiora, and that such special rate be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of twenty (20) years or until the loan is paid off.”

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Rangiora Borough Council held on 28 January 1971.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Waikanae Water Supply Loan No. 3, 1970—$130,000

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of $130,000 to be known as the Waikanae Water Supply Loan No. 3, 1970 authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a new reservoir for the Waikanae water supply and purchasing additional land in the Waikanae Catchment for water conservation; the Horowhenua County Council hereby makes, and levies a special rate of 0.31065 cents in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Waikanae County Town of the County of Horowhenua, and such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April each year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such loan is paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed by the Horowhenua County Council at a meeting held in the Council Chambers, Bath Street, Levin, on 3 February 1971.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioner Housing Loan No. 1, 1970—$18,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Te Puke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Pensioner Housing Loan No. 1, 1970—$18,000, authorised to be raised by the Te Puke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting accommodation for old people, the said Te Puke Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nought three seven two (.000372) of one cent in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Te Puke; and the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 40 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above-mentioned resolution was passed at a meeting of the Te Puke Borough Council held on the 20th day of January 1971.
