Revocation of Appointment of the Minister of the Crown for the Time Being Having the Administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908 to Control and Manage a Reserve and Declaration that the Said Reserve Shall No Longer be Subject to the Provisions of the Said Act

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the appointment of the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908 to control and manage the reserve for thermal springs purposes, described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said reserve shall no longer be subject to the provisions of the said mentioned Act.

SECTION 31 (formerly part Section 14 and Closed Road), Sections 11 and 21 and part Section 14, Block XV, Nuhaka North Survey District: area, 893 acres 2 roods 38.2 perches, more or less (S.O. 1800, 5658, 5764).

Appointment of Members of the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute

Pursuant to sections 5 (c) (iv) and 6 of the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute Act 1963*, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Mrs Mere Poutu, of Wellington, and Dr Denis Rogers, O.B.E., M.B., Ch.B., of Hamilton to be members of the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute.

Appointment of Assistant Harbourmaster, Milford Sound

Pursuant to sections 7 and 265A of the Harbours Act 1950, I hereby appoint Archibald Withington to be honorary assistant harbourmaster for Milford Sound and hereby empower such honorary assistant harbourmaster to enforce the provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968.

The appointment of 14 May 1971* is hereby revoked. Dated at Wellington this 18th day of October 1971.

Pursuant to section 12 of the Food and Drug Act 1969, the Minister of Health hereby consents to the distribution in New Zealand of the new therapeutic drugs set out in the Schedule hereto.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Road and for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road in Block IX, East Cape Survey District, Waiapu County

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road; and for the purposes of that public work, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is required to be taken for road and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby required to be taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road; and notice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the post office at Te Araroa and are there open for inspection; that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing, and send the written objection, within 40 days of the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plans marked and coloured as above-mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.
