Cancellation of Licence to Use Water Power and Erect and
Use Electric Lines

Pursuant to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Elec-
tricity, with the consent of the licensee, hereby cancels a
licence dated the 21st day of September 1955 authorising Grace
Mary Bethridge Harvey, of Auckland, widow, to use water for
the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use
certain electric lines (Gazette, 22 September 1955, p. 1522), as
amended by an Order in Council dated the 22nd day of July
1964 (Gazette, 20 August 1964, p. 1322).

Committee of Inquiry to Inquire into Agricultural Aviation
Safety

  1. Pursuant to section 14 of the Civil Aviation Act 1964,
    the Minister of Transport hereby appoints
    Ronald Keith Davison, Esquire, Q.C.;
    Wilfred John Mygind, Esquire; and
    Allen Craig Williams, Esquire;
    to be a committee of inquiry to be called the Committee
    of Inquiry into Agricultural Aviation Safety.
  2. The said Ronald Keith Davison shall be the chairman of
    the Committee.
  3. The Committee shall inquire into and report on safety
    in agricultural aviation operations having particular regard
    to the adequacy of measures taken by the Ministry of
    Transport, by operating companies, and by pilots, to ensure
    a reasonable level of safety in such operations and
    to the orderly and economic development of the agricultural
    section of the aviation industry.
  4. The Committee is hereby authorised toβ€”
    (a) Hold public meetings at which evidence can be pre-
    sented;
    (b) Hold closed meetings at which evidence of a confidential
    nature can be heard;
    (c) Request reports and other information from Govern-
    ment departments and interested parties.
  5. (1) All meetings of the Committee shall be held at such
    times and places as the Committee or the chairman from
    time to time appoints.
    (2) In the absence of the chairman from any such meet-
    ing a member of the Committee appointed by the chairman
    may act in his stead.
    (3) At any such meeting 2 members of the Committee shall
    constitute a quorum.
    (4) Subject to the provisions of this clause, the Committee
    may regulate its procedure in such manner as it thinks fit.
  6. The Committee shall submit its report and recommenda-
    tions to the Minister of Transport not later than the 30th day
    of September 1971.
