Whangamata Fire Appliance Loan 1971
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Thames County Council resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,000 to be raised by the Thames County Council under section 58 of the Fire Services Act 1949 for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance, the said County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.05593c in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Whangamata Urban Fire District (i.e., Whangamata County Town); and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 20th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Thames County Council held on the 6th day of October 1971.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for sanitary works (disposal of refuse) in Careys Gully, off Happy Valley Road, in the City of Wellington, and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000), authorised to be raised by the Otago Central Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the following purposes: Purchasing plant and equipment, extending lines and substations and erecting power stations within the Board's district and erecting buildings; the said Otago Central Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of 0.0132 of one cent in the dollar on the capital value of the rateable property in the whole of the Board's district of supply, and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of June and December of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
