THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) to be known as the Badminton Hall Loan 1971, $30,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of meeting part of the cost of constructing extensions to the Badminton Hall, on the Pascoe’s Quarry Reserve, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought nought seven nine of a cent (.0079c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Hoe-o-Tainui Hall Loan 1971, $3,500
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $3,500 authorised to be raised by the Piako County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out alterations and additions to the Hoe-o-Tainui Hall, the said Piako County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought nought seven nine of a dollar ($0.00079) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Hoe-o-Tianui Hall Special Rating Area, and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was passed at the meeting of the Piako County Council held in the Administration Building and Council Chambers, 35 Kenrick Street, Te Aroha, on Friday, the 10th day of September 1971.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 80, 1971, $73,600
RESOLUTION passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 22nd day of September 1971:
“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of seventy-three thousand, six hundred dollars ($73,600) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 27, 1965, of $70,000, and Destructor Loan 1960, of $470,000 which mature on 1 October 1971 and 1 November 1971 respectively, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought two three nine of a cent (.0239c) in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

ASHBURTON COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Fairton Township Water Supply Loan 1971, $4,000
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashburton County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four thousand dollars ($4,000), authorised to be raised by the Ashburton County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a water supply for Fairton township, the said Ashburton County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.964 of one cent in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Fairton water supply special rating area comprising all that part of the Wakanui Riding of the County of Ashburton, which is bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the centre line of Fairfield Road opposite the north-west boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1482, thence north-eastwards along the north-west boundary of Lots 1–18, D.P. 1482, thence south-east along the north-east boundary of Lot 18, D.P. 1482, produced to the centre line of Fairfield Avenue thence south-west along the centre line of Fairfield Avenue, to and thence south-east along the centre line of Deans Street to the line of the south-east boundary of Lots 80 and 79, D.P. 1482, and thence south-west along the said boundary. Thence north-west along the south-west boundary of Lot 79, to and along the south-east boundary of Lot 69, 59, and 56, to and along the north-east boundary of Lot 49–57, produced to the centre line of Grigg Street. Thence south-west along the centre line of Grigg Street, to and north-west along the centre line of Fairfield Road to the commencing point.
And that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly in one sum on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 6 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1970, $19,500
THE following resolution was passed at a duly constituted special meeting of the Hawera Borough Council, held at the Council Chambers, High Street, Hawera, on the 4th day of February 1971:
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $19,500, authorised to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting accommodation for elderly people by constructing eight (8) single-unit pensioner flats in two blocks, situated in Waihi Road and Murray Avenue, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two one six six five of a cent (.021665c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Hawera (defined in New Zealand Gazette, 1960, No. 4, at page 68), and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 15th day of February in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 30 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
