SPECIAL ORDER
RESOLVED that in order to clarify the definitions of riding boundaries in the Patea County, as gazetted in 1967, the boundaries of the Waverley, Moumahaki, Omahine, and Otoia Ridings be regazetted, as defined by the Chief Surveyor in May 1971, as below.
SCHEDULE
WAVERLEY RIDING
ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts, comprising portion of the Patea County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the middle of the road adjoining the eastern boundaries of Sections 362 and 148, Okotuku District, being a point on the eastern boundary of Kohi Riding hereinbefore described; thence proceeding in a northerly direction along that boundary to the Confiscation Line; thence south-easterly along that line to the point of intersection of the said line with the Taranaki and Wellington Land District boundary; thence south-westerly along the last-mentioned boundary to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 11964; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 11964, the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block III, Omahine S.D., the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 7, Block II, Wairoa S.D., the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 6, Block II, Wairoa S.D., the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Moumahaki Stream, along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 5, Block II, Wairoa S.D., to and along that boundary, the northern, western, and southern boundaries of Section 71, Okotuku District, to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 69, Okotuku District, to and along the western boundaries of Sections 69 and 68, Okotuku District, and their production to the middle of Waitangi Road, along the middle of that road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 53, Okotuku District, to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of Upper Waiau Road, and along the middle of that road and State Highway No. 3 to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 27, D.P. 5291; thence generally south-westerly along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 27, the southern boundary of the said Lot 27 and its production to the middle of Lower Herengawe Road, along the middle of that road and Thupuku Road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 243, Okotuku District, to and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 243 and 244,
Okotuku District, and their production to the middle of Tuke Road, along the middle of that road and Stewart Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 6306, to and along that boundary, the western boundaries of Lots 11 and 12, D.P. 6306, the southern boundary of Lot 14, D.P. 6306, to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 13, D.P. 6306, to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of the said Lot 13 and its production to the middle of the Wairoa Stream, and along the middle of that stream to the sea coast; thence westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the Town District of Waverley as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1968, page 718.
MOUMAHAKI RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, comprising portion of the Patea County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in the middle of the mouth of the Wairoa Stream, being a point on the eastern boundary of Waverley Riding hereinbefore described; thence proceeding generally northerly along that boundary to the boundary of the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the northernmost corner of Section 11, Block IV, Omahine S.D.; thence generally southerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 11, 10, and 12, the northern boundary of Section 8, the eastern boundaries of Sections 8 and 1, Block IV, Omahine S.D., and Sections 29, 28, 27, and 25, Block III, Wairoa S.D., the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of Section 3, Block IV, Wairoa S.D., and the western and southern boundaries of Section 2, Block IV, Wairoa S.D. (including right lines across all intervening roads), and along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Mangawhio Road; thence again generally southerly along the middle of that road to the middle of the Moumahaki Stream and along the middle of that stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 3765; thence generally westerly to and along that boundary, the generally southern boundaries of the said Lot 1, the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 3765, and its production to the middle of Matthew Road, along the middle of that road and Moumahaki Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 10291, to and along the western boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 10291, Lot 2, D.P. 28484, and again Lot 2, D.P. 10291, and Section 398, Okotuku District, and its production to the middle of State Highway No. 3, and along the middle of that highway to a point in line with the middle of Lower Okotuku Road; thence generally southerly to and along the middle of that road and Ihupuku Road to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 408, Okotuku District, to and along that boundary, a right line across Tuke Road to and along the eastern boundary of Section 412, Okotuku District, and its production to the middle of Lennox Road, and along the middle of that road to the sea coast; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.
OMAHINE RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, comprising portion of the Patea County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the middle line of Lennox Road, being a point on the eastern boundary of Moumahaki Riding hereinbefore described; thence proceeding generally northerly along that boundary to the boundary of the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the point of intersection with the Confiscation Line; thence south-easterly along a right line to and along the south-western boundaries of Sections 5 and 6, Block IX, Moumahaki S.D., Te Ngaue B, and Piraunui 1B 2 and 1B 1 and their production to the middle of the Waitotara River; thence generally south-westerly along the middle of that river to the sea coast; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the point of commencement.
OTOIA RIDING
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, comprising portion of the Patea County, bounded by the line commencing on the sea coast in the middle of the Manawapou River, being a point on the boundary of Patea County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, pages 718-719; thence proceeding north-easterly generally along the boundary of that county to the middle of the Patea River, thence generally southerly down the middle of that river to a point in the line with the northern boundary of part Section 75, Patea Suburban, thence westerly along a right line to the northern boundary of the said part Section 75 being a point on the boundary of the Patea Borough
