SPECIAL ORDER

THAT the Manukau City Council acting in pursuance of the powers conferred on it by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and its amendments and every other power in that way enabling, hereby resolves by way of Special Order to alter, amend, and redefine the boundaries of the Pakuranga, Clevedon, Otara, and Manurewa Wards of the City of Manukau as follows:

PAKURANGA WARD

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the line of mean high water on the shore of the Hauraki Gulf in line with the northern boundary of Maraetai 3B in Block II, Wairoa Survey District, and proceeding generally south-easterly and then westerly along the boundary of the City of Manukau as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1366, to and generally northerly along the boundaries of the Manurewa, Otara, and Pakuranga Wards hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement.

OTARA WARD

All that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Allotment 94, Pakuranga Parish, in Block VII, Otahuhu Survey District, and proceeding easterly and then southerly generally along the boundaries of the Pakuranga Ward hereinbefore described to the south-western corner of Allotment 153, Manurewa Parish in Block XII, Otahuhu Survey District, thence southerly along the western boundary of Allotment 96, to and along the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 95, Manurewa Parish to the north-eastern boundary of that part of Clendon’s Grant shown on D.P. 515; thence westerly generally along the said north-eastern boundary and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 24865, and continuing along the generally southern sides of Redoubt Road, to and along the generally south-eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 28732, to and along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 41583, the southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 41583, the eastern and southern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 64341, the southern boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 46004, and continuing along the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 23951, to the western side of Mill Road, thence northerly along that western side to its intersection with a right line parallel to and distant 8 chains south of the southern side at Redoubt Road; thence westerly along a series of right lines parallel to the generally southern sides of Redoubt Road to its junction with the eastern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 39677; thence southerly along that eastern boundary and westerly along the southern boundaries of Lots 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, D.P. 39677, Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 46257, Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 22123, and along the southern and western boundaries of that part of Clendon’s Grant shown on D.P. 16630, and continuing northerly along the eastern side of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway, to and easterly along the northern side of Redoubt Road, to and northerly along the north-eastern boundary of the area of 37.3 perches, shown coloured blue on S.O. plan 44262 (motorway), the south-western boundary of Section 8, Block XI, Otahuhu Survey District, and again the eastern side of the Auckland-Hamilton Motorway to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 48617; thence along a right line to the easternmost corner of the said Lot 4 and northerly generally along the boundary of the City of Manukau as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1965, page 1366, to the point of commencement.

MANUREWA WARD
