The Overseas Take-overs Exemption Notice 1971
PURSUANT to the Overseas Take-overs Regulations 1964, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE

Title—This notice may be cited as the Overseas Take-overs Exemption Notice 1971.

Exempting certain companies from the Overseas Take-overs Regulations 1964—There is hereby exempted from all the requirements of the Overseas Take-overs Regulations 1964* any offeror that is a company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1955, and is an overseas person within the meaning of paragraph (c) of the definition of that term in regulation 2 (1) of those regulations, but which would not be an overseas person if the shares held in the company by any of the companies or life insurance offices mentioned in the Schedule hereto were held by persons who are not overseas persons.

Revocation—The notice exempting certain companies from the Overseas Take-overs Regulations 1964, dated the 3rd day of April 1970†, is hereby revoked.
