ROTORUA CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Aquatic Centre Loan 1971, $145,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Rotorua City Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of one hundred and forty-five thousand dollars
($145,000), to be known as the Rotorua City Council Aquatic
Centre Loan 1971, $145,000, authorised to be raised by the
Rotorua City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of erecting an aquatic centre complex, the Rotorua
City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought
three six nine cents (.0369c) in the dollar on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the City of Rotorua, and that such special rate shall be
an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and
every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period
of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed by
the Rotorua City Council at a meeting held on 16 August
1971.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION LEVYING SECURITY RATE
Housing Loan No. 5, 1971-$181,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and all other
powers it thereunto enabling, the Petone Borough Council
hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing annual charges on the
above loan of $181,000, authorised to be raised under the
Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Petone Borough Coun-
cil hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five four
cents (.054c) in the dollar on the rateable value on the basis
of the unimproved value, of all rateable property within the
whole of the Borough of Petone, and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a
period of forty (40) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Centennial Pool Extension Loan 1971-$1,280,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its
amendments, and all other powers it in that behalf enabling,
the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing principal, interest, and
other charges on a loan of one million two hundred and
eighty thousand dollars ($1,280,000), authorised to be raised
by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of reconstructing the Centennial Pool to
meet the international standards necessary for the 1974
Commonwealth Games, the said Christchurch City Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of .000535 (decimal
nought nought five three five) in the dollar on the
rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all
rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch,
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
payable on demand during the currency of the said loan being
a period of thirty (30) years or until the loan is fully paid
off."
The Christchurch City Council, at a meeting held on the
16th day of August 1971, passed the above resolution.

CAMBRIDGE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Municipal Building Additional Loan 1971, $9,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cam-
bridge Borough Council has resolved as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $9,000, authorised to be raised by the Cambridge
Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956,
for the purpose of meeting the additional costs of completing
and furnishing the municipal buildings, the Cambridge Borough
Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one
three five cents in the dollar (0.0135c in the dollar) upon the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Cambridge, and that the
said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan or until the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Cambridge Borough Council held on 28 July 1971.

land Catchment District described in the Schedule hereto has
been classified under the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control
Act 1941, and the classification is deemed a valid classification
as from the date on which this notice is first published, namely
18 August 1971.

BOROUGH OF MOUNT MAUNGANUI
INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS
Special Order
In exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred on it by
section 53 (2) of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the
Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby makes the follow-
ing special order:
-
That exclusive of the Mayor the said Mount Maunganui
Borough Council shall consist of ten (10) members. -
That the alteration hereby made in the number of mem-
bers of the said Council shall take effect as and from the
election to be held on the 9th day of October 1971 and
Councillors elected on such date shall be elected in accordance
with the provisions of this special order.
This special order was by resolution passed at a special
meeting of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council held on
the 20th day of July 1971, and was confirmed at the ordinary
meeting of the said Council held on the 17th day of August
1971.
