GISBORNE CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Water Supply Loan 1971 of $850,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Gisborne City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $850,000, authorised to be raised by the Gisborne
City Council under the above-named Act, for the purpose of
augmenting and improving the City Water Supply, extending
the present dam pipeline, boosting of capacity, and necessary
land purchase, the said Gisborne City Council hereby makes a
special rate of 0.295c in the dollar upon the rateable value of
all rateable property of the whole of the City of Gisborne,
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the
1st day of August in each and every year during the currency
of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the loan is
fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Gisborne City Council held on Tuesday, 17 August 1971.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1971—$20,000
PURSUANT to section 47 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, the Bruce County Council hereby resolves:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $20,000, authorised to be raised by the Bruce County
Council under the Rural Housing Act 1939, for the purpose of
making advances to farmers, the Council hereby makes a
special rate of 0.00457c in the dollar upon the capital value
of all rateable property within the County of Bruce, and that
the rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency
of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of April in
each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a
period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off."

OHAKUNE BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Ohakune Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $125,800, authorised to be raised by the Ohakune
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for a sewer-
age scheme to serve a special portion of the Borough, the
Ohakune Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of three
decimal two four one cents (3.241c) in the dollar upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the special area, and
that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of the loan and be payable in half-yearly instal-
ments of interest and principal in each and every year during
the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years or until the
loan is fully paid off."
Certified to be a true and correct copy of the resolution
passed unanimously at the meeting of Council held on Wed-
nesday, 28 April 1971.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1971, $100,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Eltham
County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one hundred thousand dollars, authorised
to be raised by the Eltham County Council in the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of making further advances to
farmers under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the Eltham County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point

unimproved value) of all rateable property within the County
of Eltham, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan being payable yearly

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Redemption Loan No. 11, 1971
THAT whereas the sum of $37,300 borrowed by the Waitemata
County Council under the Water Supply Loan No. 2, 1960;
$400,000 is due and payable on the 15th day of October 1971;
and whereas the sum of $28,200 is required to pay for the said
loan, the Waitemata County Council, in exercise of the powers
vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, hereby resolves:
(a) To borrow the sum of $28,200 for the purpose of
repaying the said loan.
(b) That the sum of $28,200 shall be payable on the 1st day
of October 1991 or such earlier date as may be determined by
Council.
(c) That for the purpose of providing interest, principal, and
other charges on the Redemption Loan No. 11, 1971, the
said Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0024c in the
dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable
property within the County of Waitemata, and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate through the
currency of the loan and payable yearly on the 1st day of
June in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of 24 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
(d) That authority be granted to gazette this resolution.

of an extract from the minutes passed by the Waitemata County
Council on 29 July 1971.

Pensioner Flats Loan 1971
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Danne-
virke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of $45,000, authorised to be raised by the Dannevirke
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the pur-
pose of constructing pensioners' flats, the said Dannevirke
Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.056c in the
dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
Borough of Dannevirke, and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year
during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years,
or until the loan is fully paid off."
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Danne-
virke Borough Council held on the 23rd day of August 1971.
