TIMARU CITY COUNCIL
INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP OF THE CITY COUNCIL
It is hereby certified that the following resolution was passed
by way of special order at a special meeting of the Timaru
City Council held on the 20th day of July 1971, and confirmed
at a subsequent meeting held on the 17th day of August 1971:
That in pursuance of the powers conferred on it by section
53 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Timaru City
Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows :
(1) Exclusive of the Mayor, the said Timaru City Council
shall consist of 12 members.
(2) The alteration hereby made in the number of the
members of the said Council shall take effect at the general
election of Councillors to be held in the month of October
1971 except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary
for preparing any roll or otherwise providing for that election.

WAIRARAPA PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
DIVISION INTO WARDS FOR ELECTORAL PURPOSES
PURSUANT to sections 21 and 33 of the Animal Pests Destruction
Act 1967, notice is hereby given that the Wairarapa Pest
Destruction District has been divided into wards for electoral
purposes as under:
South Ward, being the area formerly known as the Wai-
rarapa Pest Destruction District, and as delineated in the New
Zealand Gazette, 1963, Volume II, page 799.
Tinui Ward, being the area formerly known as the Tinui Pest
Destruction District, and as delineated in the New Zealand
Gazette, 1965, Volume I, page 4.
Notice is also given that elected members for each ward are
as follows:
South Ward
Tinui Ward

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of
the County of Levels taken on 19 August 1971, on the proposal
of the above local authority to raise a loan of $90,000, known
as the County Offices Loan 1971, for the purpose of erecting
a new office building, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1573.
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 691.
The number of informal votes was 1.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP
THE partners of Nicholls, North, and Nicholls, of Christchurch,
and Mr Bruce Winton Pattison, of Hokitika, Chartered
Accountants, announce that with effect from 1 April 1971,
they have dissolved the partnership carrying on the practice
of chartered accountants in Hokitika under the name of
Nicholls, North, and Nicholls.
The practice will be continued by Mr Pattison on his own
account at the same address.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening

the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 10c per line.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
NEW ZEALAND STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS
These are not now available from Government Bookshops
but may be obtained from the New Zealand Standards Asso-
ciation, Private Bag, Wellington.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription $10 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
$5 per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and
1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
