A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 2nd day of August 1971.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Arthur Espie Porritt, Baronet, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the Gazette, become street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Foxton Borough Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

Authorising the Construction of a Further Portion of the Dunedin-Milton Motorway Between the Borough of Mosgiel and Otokia in the Taieri County

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of July 1971

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a further portion of the motorway to be known as the Dunedin-Milton Motorway, commencing at a point in Boundary Road in the Borough of Mosgiel and proceeding generally in a westerly and southerly direction for a distance of approximately 1 mile to Cemetery Road, and proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction on the south-eastern side and parallel to the South Island main trunk railway and terminating at a point on the Awanui-Bluff State Highway No. 1 and being on the south-eastern boundary of River Section 2, East Taieri Survey District, approximately 10 chains south-west of the eastern corner of the said Section 2, in the Taieri County.
