The Traffic (Porirua City) Notice No. 2, 1971
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Trans-
port hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Porirua City)
Notice No. 2, 1971. -
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby
excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section
52 of the Transport Act 1962. -
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*. -
The notices under the Transport Act 1962 and the Traffic
Regulations 1956*, dated the 23rd day of March 1970† and the
2nd day of May 1969‡, which relate to Porirua City are hereby
revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Porirua City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).
Kenepuru Drive (from the southern boundary of Porirua
City to a point 12 chains measured southerly generally along
Kenepuru Drive from the main entrance to the Porirua Mental
Hospital).
Porirua - Titahi Bay Road (from a point 5 chains measured
westerly generally along the said road from Walton Leigh
Avenue to a point 6 chains measured southerly generally along
the Porirua - Titahi Bay Road from Kahutea Terrace).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Porirua City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from Mepharn Place
to a point 14 chains measured southerly generally along the
said State highway from Arawhata Street).

City to a point 12 chains measured southerly generally along

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work at Mokoia and
Not Required for that Purpose to be Crown Land
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land, subject to the Land Act
1948, as from the 19th day of July 1971.
SCHEDULE
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—HAWERA COUNTY
ALL that piece of land described as follows:
A. R. P. Railway land being
0 1 3.4 Part Railway Reserve, comprised and described in
Proclamation 21, Taranaki Land Registry.
Situated in Town of Mokoia, Block XIV, Hawera Survey
District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked L.O. 15488 (S.O. 8892) deposited in the office of the
Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured
purple.

Declaring Land Taken for Railway Purposes at Seaview
PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agree-
ment to that effect having been entered into, the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes;
and also that this declaration takes effect on and from the
19th day of July 1971.
