THE WANGANUI-RANGITIKEI ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $500,000, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of extending and improving the electrical reticulation within its district, the said Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nought eight of a cent (0.0208c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property in the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power District; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the aforesaid loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, but not exceeding a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric-Power Board, held at Wanganui on the 15th day of June 1971.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES

THE following resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 4th day of June 1971:

Renewal Loan No. 2, 1971—$244,700

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan for two hundred and forty-four thousand seven hundred dollars ($244,700), authorised to be raised by Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Renewal Loan No. 3, 1965 of $791,600 and Electricity Loan 1965 of $2,220,000 which mature on 1 July 1971 and 1 September 1971, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one five of a cent (.015c) in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of eleven (11) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Edinburgh Terrace Flats Loan 1971—$254,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of two hundred and fifty-four thousand dollars ($254,000), to be known as Edinburgh Terrace Flats Loan 1971—$254,000, to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing public rental flats and carrying out associated works, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought seven of a cent (.007c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Housing (Broderick Road) Additional Loan No. 2, 1971—$16,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of sixteen thousand dollars to be known as Housing (Broderick Road) Additional Loan No. 2, 1971—$16,000, to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting additional costs of providing flats for the public and pensioners, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought five of a cent (.005c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Reserves Loan No. 3, 1971—$119,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and nineteen thousand dollars to be known as Reserves Loan No. 3, 1971—$119,000, to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing and improving reserves, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought five of a cent (.005c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Alfred Street Bridge Loan 1970, $15,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of replacing the Alfred Street Bridge, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0108c in the dollar on the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 15th day of June 1971.

OTAGO ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE

General Extension Loan 1971, $300,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s General Extension Loan 1971, $300,000, authorised to be raised by the Otago Electric Power Board under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of further reticulating the Board’s inner area of supply, including the augmenting of existing lines and substations and meeting costs incidental thereto, the Otago Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought three eight of a cent (.038c) in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property within the Otago Electric Power District; and it is hereby further resolved that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said General Extension Loan 1971, $300,000, or until the said loan has been fully repaid; and the special rate be, and the same is hereby appropriated and pledged as, security for the repayment of the said loan, and for payment of interest thereon and other charges under the securities to be issued in respect of the said loan.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Otago Electric Power Board held on the 15th day of June 1971.
