ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Horowhenua bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea coast in line with the southern boundary of Ohau 3B in Block III, Waitohu S.D., and proceeding easterly to and along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 5648, Ohau 3-26-18C, 3-22B, 3-22A, 3C 3, and 3C 2 (including a right line across the North Island Main Trunk Railway), a right line across No. 1 State Highway, to and along the southern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 17283, Ohau 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3, and their production to the summit of the Tararua Range; thence south-westerly and westerly along the boundaries of the County of Horowhenua as described in Gazette, 1968, page 108, to the middle of the Upper Hutt - Waikanae Road (Elizabeth Street) in Block X, Kaitawa S.D.; thence generally northerly and westerly along the boundaries of Waikanae Riding hereinbefore described to the sea coast; thence north-easterly along the sea coast to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the Borough of Otaki as described in Gazette, 1968, page 108.
WIROKINO RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Horowhenua bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Manawatu River in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 14588, in Block X, Mount Robinson S.D., and proceeding southerly to and along that boundary and the western boundary of part Section 2, Block X, Mount Robinson S.D. (D.P. 433), and its production across Lot 2, D.P. 27512, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 2; thence south-easterly along a right line across the North Island Main Trunk Railway to and along the south-western boundaries of Section 3, Block X, Mount Robinson S.D. (D.P. 433), Section 1, Block XV, Mount Robinson S.D. (D.P. 435), Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 11933, the abutment of a road, Section 3 and part Section 4, Block XV, Mount Robinson S.D. (D.P. 435), a right line across No. 57 State Highway to and along the south-western boundary of another part of Section 4, aforesaid, and its production to the middle of Heights Road; thence generally southerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 20, Block XV, Mount Robinson S.D.; thence generally south-easterly to and along that boundary, and a right line to and along the south-western boundary of Section 12, Block XV, Mount Robinson S.D. (D.P. 435), and its production to the western boundary of Section 3, Block IV, Waiopehu S.D. SHANNON RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Horowhenua bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2E 12 in Block XI, Mount Robinson S.D., and proceeding along right lines bearing 317° 37′ distance 796.8 links, and bearing 47° 37′ distance 4,982.8 links, to the north-eastern side of Bryce Street; thence north-westerly along that side for a distance of 1,600 links; thence along right lines bearing 47° 37′ distance 850 links, bearing 317° 37′ distance 394 links, bearing 303° 14′ 35″ distance 177 links, and bearing 33° 14′ 35″ distance 151.6 links, to the north-eastern side of Old Foxton Road; thence south-easterly along that side for a distance of 515.6 links; thence along a right line bearing 33° 14′ 35″ distance 486.5 links; thence south-easterly along a right line bearing 123° 14′ 35″ to and along the south-western boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 4514, and a right line to and along the south-western boundaries of Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 4514, and Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2D 4B 2 and 2D 4B 1 to the north-western side of Hennessey Road; thence south-westerly along that side and its production to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 2035, and its production to and along the north-western boundary of Lot 11, D.P. 2035, to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 13, D.P. 4514; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 13, 12, and 9, D.P. 4514, and their production to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 17, 18, and 19, D.P. 4514, and their production to and along the north-eastern boundary of Manawatu-Kukutauaki 2E 12 (including a right line across Thompson Street), to the point of commencement.
TOKOMARU RIDING
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Horowhenua bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Manawatu River in line with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 14588, in Block X, Mount Robinson S.D., and proceeding southerly and south-easterly along the boundaries of Wirokino Riding hereinbefore described to the south-western corner of the County of Ekatahuna; thence north-easterly and generally north-westerly and south-westerly along the boundaries of the County of Horowhenua as described in Gazette, 1968, page 108, to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom Shannon Riding hereinbefore described.

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by Patea County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER
IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Patea County Council resolves by way of special order as follows:
That the present boundaries of the Whenuakura, Kohi, and Kapara Ridings be altered, to take effect from the 1st day of May 1971, by adding to the Whenuakura and Kohi Ridings and deleting from the Kapara Riding all that area of land in Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII of the Opaku Survey District, which is at present included in the Kapara Riding, as per the following Schedule.

WHENUAKURA RIDING
ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts comprising portion of the Patea County, bounded by a line commencing on the sea coast at a point in the middle of the Patea River and proceeding in a generally northerly direction up the middle of that river to the boundary of the Patea County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1968, pages 718–
