ALL that area in the Taranaki and Wellington Land Districts comprising portion of the Patea County bounded by a line commencing at a point on the boundary of that county at its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision 2 of Section 10, Block IV, Opaku Survey District; thence generally northerly, easterly, and southerly along the boundary of the aforesaid Patea County to the middle of the Waitotara River; thence generally northerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Piraunui 1B 1; thence north-westerly to and along the south-western boundaries of Piraunui 1B 1 and 1B 2, Te Ngaue B and Sections 6 and 5, Block IX, Moumahaki Survey District, to the western-most corner of the last-mentioned section; thence north-westerly along a right line to and along the confiscation line to the south-western boundary of Section 3, Block IX, Kapara Survey District, being a point on the eastern boundary of the Opaku Survey District; thence generally northerly along that survey district boundary to the point of commencement.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Counties Act 1956, the Hutt County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

1. That, pursuant to section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the boundaries of certain of the ridings within the county be altered as in the following Schedule.

2. The special order shall come into effect from 1 April 1971 for rating purposes and for representation purposes at the triennial elections on 9 October 1971, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary for providing for that election.

PARAPARAUMU RIDING

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the County of Hutt bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark of the sea in the middle of the mouth of Whareroa Stream in Block II, Paekakariki S.D., and proceeding generally easterly up the middle of that stream to the north-eastern corner of the land shown on D.P. 9060; thence generally southerly along the generally eastern boundaries of the land shown on D.P. 9060, the western side of No. 1 State Highway to a point in line with the northern boundary of Whareroa 2B, to and along that boundary, the western boundaries of Sections 85 and 86, the northern, western, and southern boundaries of Section 87, the western boundary of Section 88, Block II, Paekakariki S.D., the abutment of a road, the north-eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 780, and Section 99, Block IV, Paekakariki S.D., to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 96, Block IV, Paekakariki S.D., and to and along that boundary and the western boundary of Section 1, Titi District, to the south-eastern watershed of the Maungakotukutuku Stream; thence generally easterly along that watershed passing through Trig.
