NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE EASEMENTS OVER LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the laying of water pipes, and for the purpose of such work intends to take water pipeline easements over the lands described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is further given that a plan of the easements so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council situate at Main Road, Kawakawa, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said easements, and having an objection to the same, not being an objection as to the amount of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same to the County Clerk, P.O. Box 11, Kawakawa, so as to reach him not later than 40 days from the first publication of this notice. If any objection is lodged, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector requires otherwise, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of such hearing.

TAIHAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Public Conveniences Loan, $5,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taihape Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purposes of providing the annual charges on a loan of $5,000, authorised to be raised by the Taihape Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purposes of demolishing the present men’s conveniences and replacing with a men’s and women’s conveniences, the said Taihape Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four nine (.049) of a cent in a dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Taihape, and that this special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April of each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Land Purchase Loan 1971 of $150,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing interest and principal payments on a special loan of $150,000 known as Land Purchase Loan 1971, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, the said Wanganui City Council makes and levies a special rate of 0.044 of a cent in the $ upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 35 years, from the day of the raising of the said loan or until such loan shall be fully paid.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 7, 1970—$100,000

THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hauraki Plains County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Hauraki Plains County Council by the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Hauraki Plains County Council hereby makes the special rate of 0.147 cents ($0.00147) in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property in Hauraki Plains County comprising the whole of the County of Hauraki Plains, and that the special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April and each and every year during the currency of the loan during the period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Waterworks Reticulation Redemption Loan 1971, $79,600

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $79,600 known as the “Waterworks Reticulation Redemption Loan 1971 of $79,600” to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Waterworks Reticulation Loan 1960, $204,000 which matures on 15 June 1971, the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.0459 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette, of the 25th day of January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
