Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950,
the Minister of Marine and Fisheries hereby gives notice that
he approves the Waikouaiti County Council Harbours and
Foreshores Bylaw 1970, made by the Waikouaiti County
Council by special order and passed by the board at a special
meeting held on 28 October 1970, and subsequently confirmed
on 14 December 1970.

The Demonetisation of Stamps Notice 1971

PURSUANT to the Post Office Act 1959, I, Allan McCready,
Postmaster-General, hereby give notice of my determination to
discontinue the use of the dies for the purposes of the Post
Office Act 1959 from which the stamps or stamped paper
referred to in the Schedule to this notice have been printed;
and I, Brian Edward Talboys, Acting Minister of Finance, hereby
give notice of my determination to discontinue the use of the
same dies for the purpose of the Stamp Duties Act 1954. The
31st day of July 1971 is hereby fixed for the purposes of
section 75 of the Post Office Act 1959, to the intent that every
instrument bearing date after the said 31st day of July 1971
that is stamped with a stamp made from any of the said dis-
continued dies, and every postal article that is posted after that
day and is so stamped, shall be deemed to be not duly stamped.

SCHEDULE

SECTION 1—STAMPS

ALL postage and revenue stamps of New Zealand, and all
postage and revenue stamps intended for use in Niue, the
Tokelau Islands, and the Ross Dependency, of whatever series,
issue, pictorial design, and whatever overprint bearing £ s. d.
denominations.

SECTION 2—POSTAL STATIONERY

ALL postcards, lettercards, embossed envelopes, registered
letter envelopes, and newspaper wrappers embossed with
stamps bearing £ s. d. denominations or with these impressions
overprinted in any way.

Given under our hands at Wellington, this 23rd day of April

The Road Classification (Piako County) Notice No. 2, '1971

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regula-
tions 1969*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the
following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification
    (Piako County) Notice No. 2, 1971.

  2. The Piako County Council's proposed classification of the
    road as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.

  3. So much of the notice dated the 26th day of January
    1959† as relates to the classification of the road described in
    the Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.
