That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $38,786 authorised to be raised by the Taupo County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of establishing and maintaining an afforestation area, the said Taupo County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought eight three (.0083) cents in the dollar upon the rateable property of the whole of the County of Taupo, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of forty (40) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Development Loan 1970, $36,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waihi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $36,000 authorised to be raised by the Waihi Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of roading works, the said Waihi Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal four nine cents (.49c) in the dollar of unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waihi, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid."

Okato Medical Services Loan 1970

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taranaki County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $10,800 authorised to be raised by the Taranaki County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing a house including doctor's surgery at Okato for letting to a qualified medical practitioner, the said Taranaki County Council hereby makes a special rate of .031 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property of the whole of the Okato Riding of the County of Taranaki and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cheviot County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $25,000 under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the construction of a reticulated water supply to serve part of the County of Cheviot, the Cheviot County Council hereby makes a special rate of point nought four of a cent (.04c) in the dollar on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Cheviot, this special rate to be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Pensioner Housing Supplementary Loan 1970-$4,800

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of four thousand eight hundred dollars ($4,800) authorised to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing the purpose for which the Pensioner Housing Loan 1969 of $48,000 was sanctioned, the said Whakatane Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal point nought nought three two cents (.0032c) in the dollar ($) upon the unimproved rateable property over the whole of the Borough of Whakatane and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan being a period of forty (40) years or until the said loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council held on the 28th day of January 1971.

NELSON HARBOUR BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Special Rate Redemption Loan No. 1, 1971 of $55,000

THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on the Redemption Loan No. 1, 1971 of $55,000, authorised to be raised by the Nelson Harbour Board for the purpose of supplementing the appropriate portion of accumulated sinking funds of eighty-two thousand seven hundred and thirteen dollars ($82,713) so as to redeem at maturity those parts of Port Development Loan 1960, Fifth Portion, and Redemption Loan No. 2, 1964, which mature on 1 March 1971, and that part of Redemption Loan No. 1, 1966 which matures on 1 April 1971, the said Nelson Harbour Board hereby makes the special rate of $0.0000578 in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Nelson Harbour Board District (being the District as constituted prior to the passing of the Nelson Harbour Board Order 1968), and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 15 years or until the loan is fully paid off.
