COUNTY OF OPOITIKI
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1970, No. 2—$28,000
THAT pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Opotiki County Council resolved on the 17th day of February 1971, as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $28,000, authorised to be raised by the Opotiki County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Opotiki County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.0603 cents in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the County of Opotiki; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and shall be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

EGMONT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Okato Medical Services Loan, 1970
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Egmont County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $7,200 authorised to be raised by the Egmont County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing, in conjunction with the Taranaki County Council, a doctor's house and surgery at Okato, the said Egmont County Council hereby make a special rate of decimal nought three nought three cents in the dollar upon the unimproved rateable value of the north riding of the Egmont County, and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 15th day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is paid off.”

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Flats Supplementary Loan No. 1, $700
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments thereto, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $700 authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the purpose for which the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1969 of $700 was approved, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought six one four cents (.00614c) in the dollar ($) to be made and levied upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipawa and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring security rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 March in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 35 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIPAWA BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners' Flats Supplementary Loan No. 2, 1970—$1,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and its amendments thereto, the Waipawa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $1,000 authorised to be raised by the Waipawa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for completing the purpose for which the Pensioners' Flats Loan 1970 of $10,000 was approved, the said Waipawa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought nought eight seven seven cents (.00877c) in the dollar ($) to be made and levied upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipawa and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring security rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on 1 March in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAMES VALLEY DRAINAGE BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Housing Loan 1970, $11,000
PURSUANT to sections 47 and 48 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and section 28 of the Land Drainage Act 1908, as inserted by section 35 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1947, and by special order of the Drainage Board made at Te Aroha on 4 November 1970 and confirmed after due public notice at a meeting of the Board held at Te Aroha on 11 December 1970, payment of interest and repayment of principal of the Housing Loan 1970, $11,000 (see New Zealand Gazette, 17 December 1970, No. 82, p. 2495), shall be secured by a special rate over the whole of the Thames Valley Drainage District, such rate to be part of the general rates levied by the Board in each and every year during the 25-year term of the loan, and shall not be more than 2 percent of the said general rates, or a minimum of eight hundred and ninety-one dollars ($891) annually, whichever applies, and the Board shall appropriate such sums from its general account from time to time as are required to defray the above charges.

TAKAPUNA CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Swimming Pool Loan, 1970—$150,000
In pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Takapuna City Council resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the Swimming Pool Loan 1970, $150,000, authorised to be raised by the Takapuna City Council by way of special loan under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of providing a swimming pool in the City of Takapuna, the Takapuna City Council makes a special rate of decimal nought two four six cents (.0246c) in the dollar ($) on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Takapuna and that such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Takapuna City Council held on the 16th day of February 1971.
