NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council,
under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, proposes
to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so
required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Council,
Springs Flat, Kamo, and may there be inspected without fee
during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such lands and object-
ing to the proposal, not being an objection to the amount of
compensation, shall state their objections in writing and send
the same to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council,
P.O. Box 4102, Kamo, so as to reach him not later than
Monday, 5 April 1971, being 40 days from the first
publication of this notice.
If any objection is made, a public hearing of the said
objection will be held unless the objector requires otherwise,
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reserves and Property Development Loan 1970, $50,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the
Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $50,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei
County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of purchasing and developing land and reserves, the
said Whangarei County Council hereby makes a special rate
of 0.029 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the
basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the
County of Whangarei; and that the special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be
payable half yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day
of October in each and every year during the currency of
the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

COUNTY OF TAUPO
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rural Housing Loan 1970, $30,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taupo
County Council at a meeting held on 16 February 1971,
passed the following resolution:
That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a
loan of $30,000 authorised to be raised by the Local Authorities
Loans Act 1956, for the purpose of making advances to
farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said
Taupo County Council hereby makes a special rate of nought
decimal point nought nine five one (0.00951) cents
in the dollar ($) upon the unimproved value of all rateable
property within the County of Taupo, and that the special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
the said special loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
April in each and every year during the currency of the loan,
being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the said
special loan is fully paid off.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
NOTICE is hereby given that the Hawke's Bay Catchment Board
proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928
to execute a certain public work, namely, Ngaruroro River-
Heretaunga Plains Flood Control Scheme, and for the pur-
poses of or in connection with such public work the land
described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and
notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Hawke's Bay Catchment Board situate in Vautier Street,
Napier, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons
during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such land should, if they have any
objections to the execution of the said public work or to the
taking of the said land, not being objections to the amount or
payment of compensation, set forth the same in writing and
send the written objection within 40 days of the first publica-
tion of this notice to the said Catchment Board at its office
aforesaid, and that if any objection is made in accordance with
this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held
unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be
advised of the time and place of the hearing.
