And notice is further given that the plan of the lands to be taken is deposited at the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the written objections within forty (40) days from the date of the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Roulston Street, Pukekohe, and if any objection is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under the Public Works Act 1928 to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for an electric work namely a transformer station and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the Te Araroa Post Office, Te Araroa, and at the offices of the Waiapu County Council, Te Puia Springs, and is there open for inspection and that every person affected by the taking of the said land should set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of the works or to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and should send the written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board, Peel Street, Gisborne.

WHANGAREI CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Parking Places Loan 1970, $100,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei City Council at a meeting held on 26 November 1970 passed the following resolution:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring property for parking spaces, the said Whangarei City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought two nought three (.0203) cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Whangarei: and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half yearly on the 15th day of June and the 15th day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Redemption Loan No. 72, 1970—$37,200

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 9th day of December 1970.

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and Amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-seven thousand two hundred dollars ($37,200) to be known as the Redemption Loan No. 72, 1970, $37,200, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of repaying on maturity those portions of Redemption Loan No. 20, 1964 of $443,000 and Redemption Loan No. 22, 1964 of $169,600, which mature on 21 February 1971, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought one two four (.0124) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Parking Building Supplementary Loan 1970, $140,000

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 9th day of December 1970:

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendment, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and forty thousand dollars ($140,000) to be known as the Parking Building Supplementary Loan 1970, $140,000, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of meeting increased costs in the construction of a parking building erected in connection with the Auckland Harbour Board Down Town Development Scheme, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought three one six (.0316) of 1c in the dollar ($) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property (of Auckland City) comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”
