The Traffic (Marlborough County) Notice No. 1, 1970
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Marlborough County) Notice No. 1, 1970.
-
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
-
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
-
The notice under section 3 of the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act 1936, dated the 20th day of April 1949†, and the notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 dated the 13th day of January 1958‡, which relate to the roads mentioned in the Schedules below are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Marlborough County adjacent to Blenheim County:
Adams Lane.
Bary Street.
Batty’s Road (from the southern boundary of Blenheim Borough to the northern bank of the Omaka River).
Brook Street.
Coleman’s Road.
David Street (from Batty’s Road to Severne Street).
George Street.
Lakings Road.
Murphy’s Road (from the northern boundary at Blenheim Borough to Old Renwick Road).
Old Renwick Road (from Waipuna Road to the western boundary of Blenheim Borough).
Purkiss Street.
Roseneath Lane (from Murphy’s Road to a point 4 chains measured westerly generally along Roseneath Lane from Adams Lane).
Severne Street.
Waipuna Street (from Old Renwick Road to a point 14 chains measured northerly generally along Waipuna Street from Old Renwick Road).
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Marlborough County adjacent to Blenheim Borough:
No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) (from the western boundary of Blenheim Borough to a point 7 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Rose Street).
Old Renwick Road (from Waipuna Street to a point 2 chains measured westerly generally along Old Renwick Road from Murphy’s Road).

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waiapu County) Notice No. 1, 1970.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 8th day of December 1958† which relates to Waiapu County at Te Puia is hereby revoked.
SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Waiapu County at Te Puia:
No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa) (from a point 4 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Waipiro Bay Road to a point 1 chain measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Cemetery Road). Waipiro Bay Road (from the No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa) (to a point 8 chains measured north-easterly generally along Waipiro Bay Road from the said State highway).)

The Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 4, 1970
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 4, 1970.
-
The roads and area specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
-
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section; and
(b) 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 30th day of November shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.
- The area specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be:
(a) a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending with the Tuesday following Easter shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section; and
(b) a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon during the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 30th day of November shall be subject to the speed limitation fixed by the said regulation.
