Agricultural Chemical Notice Restricting Use of 2, 4-D Dust in North Island (No. Ag. 10736)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Agricultural Chemicals Act 1959 (as amended by Agricultural Chemicals Amendment Act 1970), the Minister of Agriculture on the recommendation of the Agricultural Chemicals Board hereby gives notice that all use and application of 2, 4-D dust whether used alone or mixed with any other material (e.g., fertiliser) is prohibited in the North Island as from 18 December 1970 until 30 April 1971.

The Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 2, 1970
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lake County) Notice No. 2, 1970.

The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 6th day of April 1959†, which relates to Lake County adjacent to Queenstown Borough, is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Lake County adjacent to Queenstown Borough:
No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth) (from the Queenstown Borough Boundary to a point 72 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from the Queenstown Borough Boundary).

The Traffic (Golden Bay County) Notice No. 1, 1970
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:
NOTICE

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Golden Bay County) Notice No. 1, 1970.

The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be within closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, from the 20th day of December each year to the 31st day of January inclusive in the next ensuing year, to the intent that the said roads shall within that period specified above be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30-miles-an-hour which is fixed by the said section.

SITUATED within Golden Bay County:
Tata Beach Road (from Takaka-Totaranui Road to a point 24 chains measured north-westerly generally along Tata Beach Road from Takaka-Totaranui Road).
Takaka-Tarakohe Road (from Selwyn Street to Pohara Valley Road).
Pohara Valley Road (from Takaka-Tarakohe Road to a point 32 chains measured south-easterly generally along the Pohara Valley Road from Takaka-Tarakohe Road).
Patons Rock Road (from a point 92 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from No. 60 State Highway (Richmond-Collingwood) to a point 40 chains measured north-westerly generally along Patons Rock Road from the said point, and including all the roads leading from the afore-described portion of Patons Rock Road).
Pakawau-Collingwood Road (from the junction of Mangarakau and Puponga Roads to a point 110 chains measured southerly generally along Pakawau-Collingwood Road from the said junction).
