Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act
1948, as from the 21st day of December 1970.

ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood 14.2 perches, situated

Proclamation 3746).

Consenting to Stopping Road in Block I, Aroha Survey
District, Ohinemuri County
PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby consents to the Ohinemuri County
Council stopping the piece of road described in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of road containing 2 acres 28.6 perches situated
in Block I, Aroha Survey District, adjoining or passing through
Rotokohu 5B 2C Block, Lot 1, D.P. S. 12584, and Section 14,
Block I, Aroha Survey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.O.W. 24716 (S.O. 45128) deposited in the office of
the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured
green.

The Central Waikato Electric Power Board Electric Lines
Licence 1964, Amendment No. 3
PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968, the Minister of Elec-
tricity hereby amends the Central Waikato Electric Power
Board Electric Lines Licence 1964* as amended by the
Central Waikato Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence
1964, Amendment No. 1. (Gazette, 19 August 1965, p. 1324)
and further amended by the Central Waikato Electric Power
Board Electric Lines Licence 1964, Amendment No. 2 (Gazette,
21 September 1967, p. 1590) by deleting the First Schedule
thereto and substituting the following:
FIRST SCHEDULE
“(1) Electric lines and electric works which may from time
to time be required for the distribution and supply of electricity
within:
“(a) The Central Waikato Electric Power District as defined
in the Fourth Schedule to the Proclamation dated the 25th day
of July 1939 and published in the Gazette on the 27th day of
the same month at p. 2042; and
“(b) All that area in the South Auckland Land District,
Piako County, bounded by a line commencing at the north-
western corner of part Hoe-o-Tainui South 1A 2 Block situated
in Block XVI, Hapuakohe Survey District, and proceeding
easterly along the northern boundaries of part Hoe-o-Tainui
South 1A 2 Block aforesaid, and Hoe-o-Tainui South 1B 5
Block to the intersection with the eastern boundary of Block
XVI, aforesaid; thence southerly along that boundary to its
intersection with the north-western boundary of Lot 3, D.P.
33123; thence south-westerly along that boundary and the
north-western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 26912, to and
generally southerly along the generally western boundary of
that part Lot 1, aforesaid, to and westerly along the southern
boundaries of Lots 4 and 3, D.P. S. 862, to the western
boundary of the Thames Valley Electric Power District as
described in Gazette, 1950, p. 238; thence northerly along that
boundary to the point of commencement, the said area being
more particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 679
deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Depart-
ment at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
“(2) An electric line for the distribution and supply of
electricity in Block 10, Alexandra Survey District, South
Auckland Land District, commencing at a point on the eastern
boundary of the Central Waikato Electric Power Board area
of supply, and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to a
point approximately 10 chains inside the Te Awamutu Electric
Power Board area of supply, such line being more particularly
shown coloured red on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 736
deposited in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Depart-
ment at Wellington.
“(3) An electric line for the distribution and supply of
electricity commencing from the junction of Bruntwood Station
Road and Matangi Fencourt Road and proceeding in an
easterly direction on the south side of Church Road with
another such electric line commencing from the said junction
and proceeding in a southerly direction on the east side of
Bruntwood Station Road, all in Block VIII, Hamilton Survey
District, such lines being more particularly shown on the plan
marked N.Z.E.D. 813 deposited in the office of the New
Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington.
“(4) An electric line for transmission only of electricity
commencing at the Central Waikato Electric Power Board
Depot and proceeding along the east side of Peachgrove Road
to a point three chains south of Frances Street, and another
such line commencing from a point at the junction of Ruakura
Road and Peachgrove Road and proceeding along the west
side of Peachgrove Road to the junction of Enderley Avenue,
all in Hamilton City; the said electric lines being more
particularly shown on the plan marked N.Z.E.D. 814 deposited
in the office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at
Wellington.”

Gaming Act 1908—Articles Not to be Disposed of By Lottery
or Chance
PURSUANT to the power and authority vested in him by
section 42 of the Gaming Act 1908, the Minister of Internal
Affairs hereby revokes the notice set out in the Second
Schedule hereto, and hereby notifies for public information
that licences to dispose of property by way of lottery or
chance shall not be granted in respect of the property or
classes of property set out in the First Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PROPERTY NOT TO BE DISPOSED OF BY WAY OF LOTTERY OR
CHANCE
(1) Firearms.
(2) Firearm ammunition.
(3) Houses or residential accommodation.
(4) Land, except under the following circumstances:
(a) The land concerned must be donated.
(b) The land concerned must be unencumbered freehold.
(c) Where a clear registrable title to the land cannot be
given within 3 months from the date of the drawing
of the raffle a cash equivalent of the land shall be
available.
(d) The capital value of the land to be disposed of, as
assessed by the Valuer-General, shall not exceed the
following figures.
(i) In the case of land to be disposed of by a
local organisation, $500.
