RANGITIKEI CATCHMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan, $186,000—Sixth Issue, $25,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Soil Conservation and River Control Act 1941, and all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $25,000, being the sixth part of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2 Loan 1965, authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei Catchment Board under the above-mentioned Act for the carrying out of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme No. 2, the said Rangitikei Catchment Board hereby appropriates and pledges a special rate upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Rangitikei River Control Scheme rating area, on a graduated scale according to the classification list of the said area, as follows:
0.1428 cents in the dollar on Class A Land
0.1144 cents in the dollar on Class B Land
0.0858 cents in the dollar on Class C Land
0.0572 cents in the dollar on Class D Land
0.0286 cents in the dollar on Class E Land
0.0143 cents in the dollar on Class F Land
and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION TO MAKE SPECIAL RATE
Maungaraki Development No. 7 Supplementary Loan 1970, $25,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it, in that behalf, by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the purpose for which the Maungaraki Development loan No. 7, 1967, of $250,000 was sanctioned, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0.076 of a cent in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), on all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 3 years, or until such time as the loan is repaid.”

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Waikanae Fire Services Loan, 1970—$25,000
“THAT in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties’ Act 1956, and amendments and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and amendments and regulations thereunder, and all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) authorised to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing a new fire appliance and land for a new fire station at Waikanae, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.05967 cents in the dollar on the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Waikanae County Town of the County of Horowhenua; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Plant Purchase Loan 1970 of $150,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 11th day of November, 1970:
“Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to be known as Plant Purchase Loan 1970 of $150,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing plant, the Wellington City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought one two of a cent (.012c) in the dollar on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of the said loan being a period of eight (8) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wallace County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $12,500, authorised to be raised by the Wallace County Council pursuant to the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a supper room at the Te Anau Public Hall, the said Wallace County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.304 cents in the dollar on the rateable value of all rateable property within the County Town of Te Anau, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Wallace County Council held on 12 November 1970.

Main Roads Works Loan 1970, $100,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waimairi County Council held on 19 November 1970.
Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $100,000 authorised to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstructing the following main roads within the County: Sawyers Arms Road, Spencerville Road, Merrin Street, Wairakei Road, Burwood Road, Breens Road, and Waimairi Road; the Waimairi County Council makes a special rate of 0.0090627c (cents) in the $ (dollar) upon the rateable value on the basis of capital value of all rateable property in the
