RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1970, $24,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and principal repayments on a special loan to be known as the Pensioners’ Flats Loan 1970 of $24,000, authorised to be raised by the Wanganui City Council under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, the said Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of .0048 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, comprising the whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are defined in the New Zealand Gazette of 25 January 1968, No. 4, at page 106, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of 40 years from the date of the raising of the said loan or until such loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of the resolution passed by the Wanganui City Council on the 9th day of November 1970.

COUNTY OF ASHLEY

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Worker’s Dwelling Loan No. 4, 1970, $14,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashley County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $14,000, authorised to be raised by the Ashley County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing accommodation for staff, the said Ashley County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal zero zero five eight cents (.0058) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Ashley comprising the whole of the County of Ashley, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of January and the 15th day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Water Supply Loan 1970 of $97,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ashley County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $97,000, authorised to be raised by the Ashley County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing a piped water supply for domestic and stock purposes, the said Ashley County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal zero five cents (.05) in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) on all rateable property in the North, South, and Loburn-Whiterock Ridings within the County of Ashley, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of July and the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of thirty-five (35) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board has resolved as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the said loan of $120,000 under the powers conferred on it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, and amendments thereto, the South Canterbury Catchment Board hereby makes a rate of the following amounts, expressed in parts of a cent per dollar:

ST. KILDA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Elderly Persons Housing Loan 1970, $50,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the St. Kilda Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $50,000, authorised to be raised by the St. Kilda Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing land and erecting flats for pensioners in Ravelston/Rona Street, St. Kilda, the said St. Kilda Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.073 cents in the dollar ($) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of St. Kilda comprising the whole of the Borough of St. Kilda, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and repayable half-yearly on a table basis over a term of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
